A great place to stay in Da Nang

We arrived early to a very busy hotel. Our room was not ready. A couple of hours later, the lobby was full of people waiting. About an hour after check-in time, the lobby was empty and we got our room. Staff were apologetic. That was the only hiccup. Everything else was excellent. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The pool was nice. The rooftop restaurant was good and the view fabulous. The breakfast buffet was excellent. All staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel is located a little way from the centre of beachside activity, but a quieter area was a good choice and taxis to go elsewhere were easy to use. We enjoyed the beach, just across the road. We were especially grateful to Katy at reception. She was the one who tried her best to get us checked in and was, for the rest of our stay, attentive and helpful. We appreciated that. A great place to stay in Da Nang.

We loved the pool! It is out of the sun and relaxing. The breakfast was incredible along with the staff and the overall ambience. The hotel is clean, new, and modern.

Really clean and staff were great. It was all a bit sterile looking for me. No character. Also a bit far from the action at My Khe Beach if you like walking to places. But the staff were great and the buffet breakfast superb. Cant fault it at that price point.

Disappointing 2nd Stay; Bathroom Flooding

This was our 2nd stay at Awaken. Our first trip was great so we decided to book here again. This trip was extremely disappointing. The room wasn’t ready at the stated check-in time, the staff didn’t seem to know what to do and worst of all was the bathroom. The shower didn’t work and the bathtub flooded the entire room. The upstairs restaurant served overpriced food that was cold. Again, poor service and a staff with not enough training. Staff was very slow to fix the problems and in the end we had to tell them to come fix it and 2 nights already in the room. We will not book the Awaken again and would not recommend it.

Clean and new. Good location across the street from the beach. Good breakfast, I can't understand anyone complaining about the breakfast. The pool is very clean if a bit cool because it is fully under a roof. Excellent housekeeping because any sand we brought back from the beach was gone after the daily cleaning. Lobby was a little warm. Roof top restaurant was nice. Good burger, soups, and pizza. Comfortable beds. Good water pressure in the shower.

Very nice hotel near the beach with spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Lovely views of the city and ocean. Staff are attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet had quite a nice range of items. Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Excellent value for the price.
