This was a convenient stop over for us between Grand Teton and Glacier National Parks. Deer Lodge is a quiet ranch community just off the highway and the Inn is very close to the Cell Block Tavern. The room was spacious with an Elvis “jailhouse rock” theme. The bed was comfortable, however, the bathroom needed updating. A coffee maker was provided with coffee pods but no tea. The communal ice machine was limited in its output.

Though it is an older motel, they were in the process of upgrading. They still have more to go but what they have done is nice. Don't judge a book by its cover. Not fancy on the outside but nice on the inside. No fancy amenities.

Check in was easy. Receptionist was very helpful. Room was adequate. Bedroom updated. Bathroom not so much. Also, taps were reversed (hot to the right, not left) in both the sink and the tub. Location was excellent. Could walk the entirety of the town and good food available just across the street.

Not what i expected

Hotel on the outside is dumpy and old. The room has been updated and was actually a surprise compared to exterior but still needs a little more. Old tub and sink and a little smelly in the room. Cool location next to the old prison. Good food at Cellblock bar across the street.

Given the rating I would have expected better. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Furniture was tattered and scratched up. There were extension cords for additional outlets. They appear to be doing upgrades but a little at a time. Wouldn’t stay again.

The outside of the hotel, isn't the prettiest but they are working on remodeling inside the rooms forst than the outside. our room was newly remodeled , it was very nice. The bed was super comfortable
