The 3rd floor had a strong smell, the room had cigarette burns on carpet, boogers on the walls in the bathroom and by the recliner, clipped glassware, the dresser drawer open half way and never stay closed. A lot of small things that show they don’t care about the quality of the service. I expected more from a Sonesta brand hotel. It was more like a super 8.

Overall the room was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. I will point out that the PTAC unit (A/C system) is in need of either replacement or a new control screen. The display is no longer legible for the temperature setting. I also asked if I could be located in a room on either the 2nd or 3rd floor level. The desk attendant said that no other rooms were available despite the parking lot being only 30% full. He said it was due to Valentine’s Day weekend, which is hard to believe. Otherwise, I had no problem with my stay. It’s a good value for a hotel room in this part of West Denver/Golden.

Highly recommend. The suite is really nice, also stayed a separate time in a standard room and was still very good. Staff super helpful and personable. Nice to have a kitchen in the room, including plates and glass wear. For the price, cannot beat this value.
