Lovely stay in this beautiful country house hotel. Even though there is currently some refurbishment work taking place, we had a great time. Friendly staff and a comfortable, clean and spacious room.

Comfortable stay

We only stayed for one night, and enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately the restaurant was not available while we were there, but there was a great pub/restaurant within 5 minutes walk. Risley Hall is a very old building so don’t expect hi tech, it’s shabby chic, but our room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

We stayed here late October 2022, Was a lovely place, very quiet room was lovely staff very friendly, ideal for some time alone chilling. Room is as spacious, even had a second room with 2 beds in .. lovely big bathroom too Only minus was our double bed was actually 2 mattresses push together, not ideal but other than that was faultless Would definitely recommend 👍👍

Whilst the hotel could do with a bit of an update in terms of maintenance, the room itself was clean, loads of space, and the hotel has bags of character. For the price paid it was exceptional value.

Our room was adorable and we quite enjoyed it. We could’ve used better pillows. The staff is wonderful, the inside was just beautiful. The outside looks neglected and looks like it fell on hard times. With a little sprucing up it could be spectacular.

This could be a first class hotel with some money spent restoring all the old features. Wonderful location and beautiful surroundings. Really spacious and clean rooms with all facilities that are needed and more. Staff are more than polite and helpful. They are also friendly, homely and cant do enough for you to resolve any problems. We had a extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay with you in August and will certainly be returning.
