Room 234 had a very bad odor. I notified the front desk and she couldn't communicate - just stared for the most part. I was confused by this. Asked for a manager and she just replied "there isnt one". I asked for and was given a bottle. I sprayed & it didn’t help so requested another room. She gave me one, but wasn't very happy about it. This room smelled better but the pillows were flat & uncomfortable making it very difficult to sleep. After tossing and turning and finally falling asleep, neighbors were really loud and woke me up, keeping me up. Overall, i was very disappointed. Positive reviews led me to think i would have an enjoyable stay but it was inconvenient and left unrested when I really needed sleep before a long day of travel.

The room was nice and clean, water was HOT!!!!! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. This facility had real plants throughout the facility. Sauna and hot tube in good working condition. Media/ game area and store on site. Change machine for laundry and the laundry area was clean. Basic gym equipment/weights. Breakfast ok, not much of a selection of fresh fruits. Easy access close to room parking. Fast commute to airport and downtown Des Moines.

Room was clean, spacious. They claimed EV charging on premises and there are 120v outlets near the parking lot but you need your own charger which is slow. There’s also 30A, 240v RV style outlet in the truck lot but my 240 charger would not fit. Hotel was very nice if a bit dated.
