Rustic Oceanfront Cabin

Get the feel of a rustic cabin without having to drive up a mountain or into the woods. This charming home on the ocean features four bedrooms with queen beds and three full bathrooms with open living space with vaulted ceilings. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace and watch the waves roll in. There is a secluded beach below and it is less than 5 minutes to walk to Dillon Beach.

This location offers some of the best views you will find anywhere on the west cost looking over all of Bodega Bay with waves crashing on the rocks and incredible sunsets. It's a quick hike to the secluded beach below and a short walk down the street to the path to Dillon Beach. Dogs only are considered for this property.

​​​​​​​While this property is an amazing property for family and friends to gather, it is NOT a party house. Please note that outdoor amplified music is prohibited at vacation rentals in the County and campers are not allowed in the driveway. Surveillance cameras and decibel meters monitor parking areas and noise levels. County quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and clean interior. Beautiful view but hazy window panes. We liked the fact there were 2 downstairs bedrooms and minimal stairs for our elderly parents. Randy responded quickly to questions. I’m unsure the beach access next to the house is actually accessible. It’s very steep. We tried but didn’t succeed. Overall, very leading and comfortable place.

We loved our stay as a family! It was very clean. Beds were cozy, but the views!!! The views everywhere were stunning and hard to beat!! Loved our walks down to the beach on our own path. Property manager Randy was so prompt, available and accommodating. Hope to be back one day!

The view and home location is spectacular!! However, the siding , deck and railings need immediate attention. They are in such disrepair, it is a safety hazard!Lovely furniture, comfortable beds and other amenities were great! But the aforementioned issues need to be addressed!

We have stayed in this house many times. There have been some good upgrades since our last stay. The view is amazing, and the host was very nice and responsive. Our only complaint is that there are no shades in the living room, and for the two hours before sunset, sitting on the sofa is nearly impossible. That isn’t a rental issue, but an owner issue that needs to be fixed.

Birthday weekend

Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and sofa. Good for a gathering of friends and family. Marvelous view of the ocean. Only thing to watch out for is that the front door closes shut and there’s no way to leave the door unlocked so be careful not to get locked out. That happened to us but fortunately the management was available to give us the spare key lock box code. So good communication. Also there are lots of small burrs in the foliage around house so be careful to check dog paws if you bring a dog.

MLK weekend at Pelicans Nest

Our family had a wonderful experience over the recent holiday. Well appointed, very clean, well located ( Petaluma was close for supplies and activities. The house was beautifully situated. We would highly recommend the Pelicans Nest.

Great family getaway with amazing views

Our family of 8 adults and 2 infants enjoyed our 3 night stay. The view from the house has to be seen to be believed. Beds and linens were very comfortable. The living room and dining area were big enough for us to spread out in. The kitchen was well supplied. We would definitely visit again.

Million Dollar View!!

Our extended family of 10 (ages 73 to 11) had a wonderful stay! Yes, the cabin is "rustic" as advertised, but the location is priceless! Amazing ocean and sunset views from the bluff overlooking the private beach below. When the tide is out the scenic little beach is great for beachcombing and playing in the waves and we all spent hours down there. The little path from the back of the house to the beach directly below is a bit steep and rocky (though this 73 year old made it up and down OK) but is well worth the scramble. When we took the grandkids over to beautiful Dillon Beach one afternoon, they begged to come back to "our private beach that was way more fun"... The house was stocked with everything we needed and the beds were clean and comfortable. And as an added bonus you get deer wandering across the yard every morning! The property managers were very prompt and responsive when we called with a problem when we first arrived, and were there immediately to remedy the issue, which was appreciated. Overall we had a great time there, with lots of family memories made

Its all about the view

The view from this location is why you come here. Like another commenter replied, hearing the ocean crash on the rocks is what made this a great outing. I will also say driving around and finding local cheese shops, bakeries, and side of the road honor system farm fresh veggie/egg huts rounded out the trip perfectly. The whole family gave the location a thumbs up.

Amazing views for a relaxing get-away

Wonderful stay in great location!

We were two families with three very young kids who spent a birthday weekend at this location. The views were spectacular, communication with the host was easy, and we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our stay. I’m not sure that this location should be considered “luxury” as the inside is quite outdated unlike the photos, but this did not impact the quality of our stay. The short drive to Dillon Beach was also a big plus, we went multiple times. I recommend this stay.

This house has amazing views of the ocean. It is a Rustic Cabin from the outside but modern on the inside. Great appliances and all the gear and utensils you need. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Memories of the sunsets will be our favorite forever!

Awesome ocean views! Really amazing views, house was clean and well equipped and comfortable beds. 3 of the 4 bedrooms have ocean views nice to wake up to in the morning. Boat launch is 15min drive from house. Overall awesome time and already thinking of another trip back!
