Overall a bit of a mixed bag. The room itself was a bit tired, the shower aimed at the glass screen rather than straight down. No orange/fruit juice at breakfast (just those machines that give you orange or apple squash). The gym was small but an ok range of equipment, though light on cardio machines (1 treadmill and 1 cross trainer). It's the end of a bus line to be able to get into the next village where there were some good restaurants and takes you to the old town. But if a nightmare getting back on as they were generally full however. Pools were good with lots of sunbeds and lovely views over the bay.

When I arrived I paid for public parking) having first contacted the hotel directly asking for information about parking during my 2 night stay . The hotel sent an email advising me to use public parking which I duly did. I was then told by the porter that the hotel had complimentary parking for guests. I courteously raised this at check in and was advised by the member of staff to show me the email which I did. No apology was offered or reimbursement but an abrupt and curt response stating it wasn’t his problem! I secured an apology only when demanding to speak to the manager. It appears that the response was from the head office but they have no knowledge of facilities rendering the question why are they responding to guest enquiries. I am fortunate to have never encountered this from any hotel I have stayed in before in 35 years On the last day of my stay I was chased after on the assumption that I was a criminal leaving without payment ( my entire booking was pre paid on check in with no incidentals) as I decided to load up my car at 9am as my parking ticket expired at 9.35 rather than leave breakfast and then again collecting my luggage before a check out of 10am. Again no apology rendered or acceptance that the situation may have been handled more diplomatically by asking whether I was checking out . I won’t be back . The hotel has amazing views of the Adriatic with some breathtaking sunsets to be seen. It's located quite a walk from the main town but is serviced by a bus every 15 minutes with tickets available from the hotel for a low discounted price which makes the stay perfect for those that want peace but also those that want to venture into the town. Excursions can be arranged from the hotel for competitive prices and the staff are always willing to help in any way they can. Plenty of seating around the pool and great food from the pool bar/restaurant. Nearby beaches are a short walk and there are plenty of restaurants with equally amazing views just a 10/15 minute walk along the coastline. We had a late flight home and checkout was 1000 however all amenities were made available to us including the showers in the spa area including towels. We really loved our stay.

The hotel was a big disappointment, there is a big difference between the pictures where everything looks luxurious and reality, the room that I received was far for a 4*hotel,the room was outdated, with an unpleasment smell, I didn't like it and I change the hotel I went to Royal Blue where everything was wonderful

I realllly enjoyed staying at Valamar. The pool view is incredible, and it’s nearby a few mins walking to a stunning beach. Their breakfast and dinner buffet was also delicious. The rooms are pretty simple, so if you want an elevated room experience spend a little more for the pool view. I can’t wait to go back!
