THE SPACE

This is a modern new build guest house sitting in the grounds of a main house, so you get a separate building entirely to yourself with your own entrance. The setting is what people remember. A huge pond sits at the center of a beautifully kept garden, and you look straight out over the water from the balcony deck. The Florida River runs along the property and guests have access to it.

There are two bedrooms, each with a king bed. The master has its own ensuite with a walk-in shower. A second full bathroom serves the rest of the house and has a shower over the tub. The office has a pullout sofa and a half bath alongside it, which makes it work either as a room for a sixth guest or as a quiet place to get a few hours of work done.

The kitchenette handles simple cooking with a 2 burner induction cooktop and a combination microwave and convection oven. There is wifi throughout, a smart TV with streaming, heating and air conditioning, a full size washer and dryer, and towels are provided.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

This is a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen. It is great for breakfast, coffee and simple meals, but worth knowing if you were planning to cook large dinners every night. The pond and the river are open water, so children need supervision outside. No smoking and no pets.
