We really enjoyed our stay at moxy Düsseldorf city! The beds were extremely comfortable and the service were pleasant and friendly. The lounge space was especially comfortable and the location is perfect. We will come back again if we visit the city, thank you!

Sorry… it’s not a thumbs up from me. You enter the hotel and there is a distinct smell. The only way to describe it is that it smells like someone has put deodorant on top of an already bad smell. Like trying to disguise something. It’s quite horrid. I thought it would go away… it didn’t. Three people on reception, made me wait quite a while to check in, even though only one person was busy. That also wasn’t great… but probably the worst thing is.. in the bedroom, the carpet is thread bear, it doesn’t feel nice underfoot, but worse than that, they have a plastic mattress protector that makes so much noise, and makes you feel sweaty and not nice… I didn’t want to stay, but I had already paid up front.

Nice location

The hotel is located in the city center, about 7-8 mins walk from the central train station HBF and less than 10 mins walk from Konigsallee and its stores. The hotel is very nice and the Moxy concept is interesting with its bar adjoining the front desk. The room is a little small but clean.

Good location, beside underground station 2 stops to the Alt Stadt which was a nice surprise.. Beds are not great, basic, cheap mattresses, not sure how they're queen size. Breakfast was decent, standard German offerings plus some more American style options. Check in / out can be slow

Ok but not ok

Second time I booked here. Overall, no bad things to say. I like the style and the vibe, breakfast is more than ok, but the beds are terrible. So hard, my back was messed up in the morning, so freakin’ hard! Not for me anymore.

Boutique to a fault

Nice hotel in a fantastic area right off the Japanese district with some amazing food within walking distance but with long queues often to get in in the evening. Plenty of bookable options within a cab ride. The room was “boutique”. It was basically a bed, chair, small desk, a metal grid on the wall with 4 hangers and a TV + bathroom. You lived out your suitcase. No creature comforts; kettle, complimentary water, fridge, safe, Wardrobe or any storage. Fine for an overnight but for a longer business trip I personally like to settle into a room. No onsite restaurant was an issue for me especially after a long day when I don’t want to go food hunting at local restaurants.

Great stay in Dusseldorph

Our stay at this Moxy was great. The staff was very helpful, and the large room we were given met all our needs. The quirky nature of this brand of Marriott hotels made the lobby/bar area very entertaining. We found ourself spending every evening enjoying the atmosphere and drinks. The proximity to the Christmas Markets allowed for a simple walk to reach all the fun.
