We spent one week, end of April 2026, one couple, 31st Anniversary. Had a glorious time! Serene, off the beaten path, away from the crowds & traffic of Georgetown. Stocked: 3 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, snorkels, life vests, pool floaties, umbrella, flippers, sun hats & MUCH sunscreen. Kitchen: a Keurig AND a reg coffee pot, blender, toaster oven, crock pot, pack n play. Bathrooms stocked: Fructis shampoo, Hask cond & Dove sens skin body wash, hair dryers. Water is clear, calm & teeming with life like a huge lake. Big patches of short grass to walk thru in the water to get to the sandy areas, need water shoes. Pine trees for shade, needles shed on the sand. They get cleared off periodically. Didn't bother us. We had no sargassum. Loved the raw nature, peaceful remoteness, space to spread out. It's quiet compared to the people & traffic of Georgetown. The perfect, white sand manicured beaches are not far so if you want to spend a day at one of those, 20-40 min, more public. Lots of places to eat in or take out. Try Tukka east end & Czech Inn Grill. Pool was great. Lots of birds, loved the chickens! Roosters crow early, didn't bother us. Bed was SO comfortable, MUCH pillows. (mattress has been replaced from the old reviews) We loved it here.

Great location, well stocked house, and very quiet area. While we were on the island there were high winds and rough surf, this location was not affected. It was a nice sanctuary while seeing the rest of the island get beat up. Plenty of space and every one had a good time.One thing to be aware of, the traffic back towards Georgetown and the airport can get bad. If you have a bunch of activities that direction it can get rough. If you don't have activities to the west the traffic does not impact you at all.

We loved our stay at Casa Tortuga. The house was as described, it was clean, comfortable and we love the whimsical turtles everywhere. I think we probably overused the pool, we couldn’t stay out of it. We always started our day with morning coffee in the gazebo. The view was just amazing. I hope one day we could return!

Perfect for our family

We loved our time at Casa Tortuga. The house was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was perfect for us, away from the crowds but a short drive to areas for us to explore. The traffic in Georgetown was chaotic, especially not being used to driving on the left. We did some shopping and visited some of the noteworthy beaches, but were happy to return to our rental. It was very windy while we were there, but we were still able to enjoy our beach and snorkeling in the sound. The pool was a perfect temperature and a nice place for our teens to unwind. All in all, an excellent vacation!

Paradise

Loved everything about this property. We were on our honeymoon. It is a perfect location for privacy, yet close enough to reach all parts of the island. The beach was literally in the back yard and the gazebo offered a scenic spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The pool was a welcome addition for relaxing. The grounds were well maintained and had beautiful flowering plants and amazing palm trees. The home was equipped with every item we needed. I already miss the chickens. We loved our stay and can't wait to return one day.

Great week!

I booked this for our family, which consists of my wife and two kids (56) and I. We stayed for a week and the place was clean and very nice. The property manager and the caretaker were both nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend. The area is very peaceful and the view was spectacular as advertised.

We loved our stay at Casa Tortuga. The interior was well-kept and modern and the heated pool was a very nice amenity. Only improvements to be made - at times there was an unpleasant odor around the pool area that we couldn’t determine the source of. Additionally, the needles from the trees littered the pool and beach area, but we understand it requires a lot of maintenance. Overall, great place to stay and would stay again!

Casa Tortuga Private Stay

It was very nice and private. Absolutely loved the variety of chickens! The view is very pretty and the pool was warm and crystal clear. We mostly were doing things around the island and having fun checking out the beaches. We were sad to leave!

Wonderful location

We absolutely loved the location of this house. It was very quiet and felt like your own private beach. The inside of the house was spotless and very clean. The outside of the house is lacking in maintenance. It could use some work. Overall the house is gorgeous but just needs less clutter and more work done to the outside.

Secluded and Low Key Cayman

Casa Tortuga was the perfect home base for our Cayman Christmas vacation!!! As advertised, the home is secluded with a private beach and pool. We loved that there were paddle boards and a kayak available for use. You can snorkel in the sound behind the house. The owners have provided everything you need to cook a meal and feel at home during your stay. Including snorkel gear and extra beach towels. Several reviews refer to the beach area being ‘dirty’ and I would describe this as more of a natural beach feel. If you’re looking for the pristine sand beaches without some grass in the water, you may want to stay elsewhere. We thought it was beautiful and enjoyed how private and quiet this spot was - away from the hustle and bustle. Plenty of room to spread out in the living and kitchen. Would definitely recommend renting a car if you want to go shopping or out to eat. There aren’t many options close to the house. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets views from the gazebo and relaxing in the pool. My only suggestion for improvement would be to replace the pillows for all of the bedrooms. They are quite worn and uncomfortable- that’s not really a matter of preference. I read a response from the property management from early 2023 saying the bedding was going to be updated but that had not occurred by the time of our stay for Christmas 2023. If you’re really particular about your bedding - just bring your own.

The week’s stay at Casa Tortuga

The location is excellent in relation to being on the water, and it is recommended you rent a car if you expect to go out for dinner or seeing the sights. The pool is nice and heated, however we had to call the pool company as the heater stopped working which was apparently due to a lack of maintenance. The grounds are adequate but again in need of general upkeep as we saw trash near the gazebo and behind the pool. The house is nice but in some need of updating or repair ie microwave, knobs on stove, refrigerator ice maker etc. No one came by all week to check on how we were or if we needed anything. As we have stayed in properties in the USA, Mexico, and Europe, this one would not be on the top of the list. For the price i would overall recommend seeking another venue.

Great villa, beautiful beach!

Casa Tortuga was perfect for my family of 4 - myself, my husband and our older teen daughters. We had plenty of space and the beach was gorgeous. Made good use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Recommend bringing snorkeling gear if you have it (the house did have enough for 2 people) because there is lots to see right off the beach. The location is great in that every part of the island is no more than a 40 minute drive, and it's quiet and peaceful. The only drawback was when we wanted to go out but didn't feel like driving - there really is nothing nearby. We didn't need much during our stay as everything was in order, but for the couple requests we did have, the caretaker and property manager were extremely responsive. Would definitely recommend Casa Tortuga.

Great Weekend Getaway

6 of us (3 couples) spent a long weekend at Casa Tortuga. The property was a great place to hang out and relax. The beach area, pool and gazebo were all well used, as were the kayaks and paddleboards. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything we needed.

Family Vacation

Casa Tortuga was exactly as pictured and described. It was the perfect place for us to stay with our 2 grown daughters/partners. Everyone had their own space and then large comfortable common areas both inside and out. The house was clean and well stocked. The pool was wonderful and the beach was well enjoyed. I would highly recommend it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Could have been a lot better

Great place to stay if you don’t plan on going outside to enjoy the beach. Inside was okay. Glass coffee & end tables were dirty. Outside chair cushions were brought inside & couch was all sandy. Outside-everything in disarray. Water balloon fragments all over, table & chairs in cabana were messy, shovel laying on the ground, blow-up canoe & paddleboards were just thrown around, one paddleboard was broken, beach was littered with garbage (soda can, shoe, quart of motor oil). Sargassum had not been cleaned out & there was no clear access to the water. Beach had not been raked & it looked dirty. Hammock was broken & so were all of the lounge chairs. The nice brown wicker lounge chairs pictured in ad were not the ones there. Pool was nice, but umbrella & float were broken. Gas grill had been left on and was gross, even after housekeeping came & cleaned it up. We did complain about the beach & the groundskeeper came over at 10:30pm & cleaned off the sidewalk & patio (which we already swept), then spent 30 mins clearing out the 10ft section of beach that was promised in the paperwork. Next morning we were shocked to see a 5ft section that had been barely cleared. We never got in the water. I understand sargassum is a problem, but neighbor’s beach was cleared, raked & looked amazing. With a bit more attention, Casa Tortuga could once again look like the pictures online. We did get one night refunded, but it did not make up for the terrible experience we had as first-time visitors.

Peaceful getaway

This beautiful gem in the East End had everything we needed for a relaxing and much needed 40th birthday getaway! Positioned between Rum Point and 7 mile beach it gave us the ability to enjoy the entire Cayman island instead of just one small portion of it. Ms Lisa the property manager was absolutely a gem, very easy to contact should we need her. At the end of the stay there was some confusion on my part where to drop of the property key, and she can met us at the airport to come get it. Would recommend this place to anyone needing that perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of their fast paced life!
