It’s huge , with a great gym , pool and championship golf course . The first day we caught the x27 bus into Edinburgh it took about 30mins and the next day we drove in and parked £27 for the day . Loads of parking at the hotel , rooms are nice and big with ironing boards , kettles , fridge and hair dryers . The staff were great . We had someone snoring next door and the staff moved our room straight away . Breakfast … take note of the advice on busy times , it’s right . Earlier walk straight in , later a bit of a queue , but worth the wait .

Lovely clean room, friendly staff, very festive with mincepies and mulled wine available in reception, in the afternoon. Would recommend the dining room to eat in the evening, great service, delicious food and lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was incredibly busy but the quality of food was excellent and service managed well. Would happily return.

The food was fantastic. I have stayed there on many ocassions with my family and it is great value for money and it's an easy bus ride (30 mins) into the heart of Edinburgh. Stayed over for 2 nights and spent a day in Edinburgh at the Christmas markets. If you are looking for a quiet spot outside the city with a swimming pool , amazing views and some homely luxury , with a Scottish Castle feeling then this is where to stay. Great hotel.
I sat here and read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens a coiple of days before Christmas.
