The problem with this hotel is that it needs a complete refurb. The heating system doesn’t work properly. I moved rooms in the hope it would be better but had to resort to using a portable electric heater which reception provided me with. The fact they have them easily to hand proves this is an ongoing problem. The shower water pressure is poor. The corridors are dark and the carpets worn. All the walls and furniture are scuffed and badly need replacing. The staff were trying so hard to remedy the problems I encountered but it was beyond them as the hotel is so flawed. The bed was oddly soft and seemed to dip. The curtains were stained. The location was excellent but in spite of this I will never stay at this or any other Radisson hotel ever again. I’ve been in much cheaper hotels which were better appointed and more comfortable.

Lovely staff on check in, ended up getting into the room early as it happened to be ready. Breakfast had an excellent selection, and fantastic quality. Late check out was great for us, we got to enjoy the hotel Spa facilities were nice, steam room was incredibly hot which i like but would understand if others didn't. It could have done with a bit of a deep clean though. Perfect location in the old part of Edinburgh, a 5 minute walk to the castle. Next time we come north i think we will end up staying again Thanks for a lovely stay

The staff were great, especially at checkin. Overall the room was nice and the amenities were great. However at this price point when it's advertised as a king bed that's what i expect and not 2 beds pushed together. Disappointing Also the lighting in the living room area wasn't very bright - edinburgh in winter gets dark early. A central light in the room and one over the hot drink facilities would have been great
