Very friendly helpful staff. Was on a tour group first night and next 4 nights a personal booking. On arrival they arranged so we could stay in the same room for the visible. Central location 10-20 min to Grassmarket district, train, Hollyrood Palace, Edinburgh castle, and the national museum and Nelson monument park. Nice reasonable bar and lounge, average breakfast buffet, and cheerful concierge arraged airport taxi. Workout room and pool. Meticulous daily housekeeping service, spacious room, and our 3rd floor room was quiet with double windows even overlooking the busy Royal mile.

We were so looking forward to this hotel stay because it was right in the heart of everything, was castle shaped and it cost almost a weeks salary for one night. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and even helped us park our van in a private lot as it wouldn't fit in the underground parkade. The room was nice, and quite roomy. I maybe expected something more "castle" like or maybe a little bit more upscaled for the price we had paid. I had upgraded our suite to include a king bed, and was taken aback when it came with 2 twins. They informed us that this is standard and that they would combine them together for us. I had mentioned that the beds were quite slanted (tilted backwards when sat on), I was assured that the combining and the mattress topper would solve that. It did not, haha. Made for an "interesting" sleep and getting out of in the morning. Overall, its a nice hotel with some great staff in an incredible location, but the price tag did not match for what was provided.

This hotel is a good location on the Royal Mile for the sights of Edinburgh. Close to the train station and many coffee shops and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Great location

Hotel was lovely, great cocktails in the bar. Room was clean, spacious and wonderfully quiet despite city centre location. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the weakest part of the stay mostly because the coffee wasn’t great but acceptable to get you going for a days sight seeing
