Beautiful old CP hotel, wonderfully updated. Surrounding neighborhood is so-so, and the current sad condition of the cute little Burns park next to it detracts from the hotel’s otherwise stately entrance. Not sure if Fairmont has any control over the park but it really should try to get it cleaned up.

The hotel itself is quite nice but on a Friday night the area outside the hotel is literally a race track with extremely loud cars and motorcycles constantly buzzing past. When you combine that with the fact that the windows have no sound insulation and it's an older building, it was a very loud sleepless night. If you're partying this place would probably be great. If you need a good night's sleep, look elsewhere.

Hotel and rooms are decent but dated, water pressure for shower is low . no smart tv intial explanation to parking was confusing, was waiting for parkade code but had to call back after 2 hrs to get . parking is not convenient and common areas was very old and dirty . A casual cafe or some convenience shopping would a be great . compared to other fairmont and more standard hotels , was below standards overall . would not consider staying here again .

Beautiful old hotel. Lovely people working there. My main issue is that I paid for a river view room and was given a city view room with a very limited view of the River. I had requested a quiet room and was told this was the best option. If I was informed I would have to sacrifice the view for quiet I would never had agreed but was not duly informed. Very disappointed as I had expressly paid extra for a view. That ruined my experience. Cudos to all the service staff who were truly exceptional.
