Pleasantly surprised

I was impressed with the condition of the hotel for such an affordable stay. Staff was polite. Our rooms were spotless and well-maintained. I did notice another floor had a large bleach stain on the hall carpet and the doors were mismatched; I wonder if they were updating rooms and the painted doors were those that were done? But didn’t affect us.

I booked this property because their ad stated that their shuttle bus ran until 2 AM because I was not arriving until 11 Pm and realistically thought it would be at least midnight until I would be outside and looking for the shuttle. The shuttle never arrived and after an hour outside in the freezing wind I phoned the property to be told that he sent the shuttle driver home after his 11 PM run because he did not know I was coming. He told me to catch a taxi because he was the only person there and could not come. When I arrived I went in and asked him to go out and pay the taxi , which he flatly refused to do even though they saved much more than the taxi fees by sending the driver home 2 hours early.

The staff were very helpful. They arranged a shuttle Tompkins up at the airport and let us check in early as we had missed our connection and had no place to go.

Overall, the hotel is appropriate for the price and convenience if you are traveling out of the airport. They do long stay parking, which is good but at the same time parking space is very limited. They have a free shuttle to the airport, which is nice but make sure you ask for the latest instructions because they gave me some instructions from a couple of years ago and it was difficult getting a ride back because of the confusion, but the shuttle itself is good. parking does have a fee, but is less than parking at the airport. The property itself is quite dated, but they do their best to keep it clean. Like I said, overall it’s a pretty good hotel.
