Forbes Top 50 Destination

Forbes Top 50 Destinations describes Encinitas as a surfer's haven. We came from North Carolina to visit family but my 15-yr old son came for waves. We got a 2-hr surf lesson from Eli Howard just two blocks down the street at Moonlight beach and over the next few days used the foamy boards supplied by our host. Afterwards we'd return to our VRBO patio and enjoy margaritas in the temperate seaside air. Our host's welcome note, flower bouquet, and complimentary french press coffee were extra special touches. Highly recommend.

Winter family getaway

Property location is fantastic (walking distance to beach/playground), and the property was stocked with everything we needed for a quick winter getaway. Backyard was nice to have as well!
