Indoor Spaces:
- Sleeping arrangements: This cabin sleeps 8, so you can bring the whole family. The primary bedroom on the main level features a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a jetted whirlpool tub. From the primary bedroom, you also have direct access to one of the balconies. A second bedroom resides on the upper level with another king bed, a TV, and access to a private balcony. Also on the upper level is a loft-style sleeping area with a queen bed, a bunk bed, and a TV.
- Main level: Experience the comfort of a private mountain lodge, with dramatic vaulted wood ceilings and a towering stone fireplace (gas-fueled, for your convenience). An open-concept kitchen is separated from the cozy great room by a bar-style peninsula, making the main level perfect for sharing a drink and spending time together. After dinner or a day out on the town, curl up in front of the large flatscreen TV on the comfortable couch and love seat.
- Upper level: Upstairs is for rest and relaxation. The spaciousness of the main level is accented by a two-story opening to the loft, where your friends and kids can enjoy their own space and privacy.
- Lower level: The upper levels are your second home, but the lower level is where the true magic happens. Venture down to find an enormous recreation and game room, complete with board games, darts, a pool table, bar seating, yet another TV, and a small fireplace. But wait, there's more! Downstairs, you can also find iconic stand-up arcade games, like Pac-Man, and a foosball table.
- Castaway Cabin comes with WiFi, AC, and streaming-enabled TVs.

Outdoor Spaces:
- Decks, decks, and more decks—this cabin has multiple private balconies and shared patios that overlook the nearby pond and surrounding forest scenery.
- Walk straight out from the lower level to a covered patio, where you'll find the sparkling hot tub, a gas grill, and an outdoor table for dining al fresco.
- After dark, gather around the fire pit for late-night conversations, roasted marshmallows, and stunning views of the stars you can't find in the city.
- The fishing pond is open to guests and stocked with Blue Gill, Bass, and Crappie varieties. With six acres to explore, you can spend your days adventuring and fishing in your own private oasis.

Local Surroundings:
- While you're here, you'll have no shortage of outdoor adventure. Castaway Cabin is located in Ennice, putting you within a short drive of some of the best state parks and natural areas in the region. Less than 30 minutes away is Stone Mountain State Park, where you can hike on scenic trails and chase waterfalls. Even closer is the first Blue Ridge Parkway access point in North Carolina and the historic Cumberland Knob, where construction of the parkway first began back in the 1930s. The parkway is beautiful year-round, but it transforms into an especially breathtaking landscape in the fall, when the leaves turn.
- From Castaway, you are 10 minutes away from trout fishing at Little River, or 20 minutes away from the New River, a recreational waterway that is beginner-friendly for paddlers of all experience levels. Bring your own boats and tubes, or travel out to one of the local outfitters (most within an hour's drive) to rent equipment and take a float in the sun.
- Go for a 20-minute drive and you'll end up in the small town of Sparta, flush with unique shops, restaurants, live music, and that classic southern charm the High Country is known for. Check out the popular Becca's Backwoods Bean Coffee Shop, the Main Street Pizzeria & Taphouse, and the Italian-American fusion food at Crave. When you're ready for some tunes, head over to the Muddy Creek Café and Music Hall. Want a taste of traditional mountain music? Alleghany Jubilee is the place to be. This historic theater and dance hall in Sparta is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday evenings.
- West Jefferson is a bit of a drive, about an hour away, but well worth the journey. Here, you can find even more picturesque mountain views at Mount Jefferson State Natural Area before heading into downtown for a bite to eat and a sampling of some of the High Country's best local brews.

- Pet Policy: Dogs Welcome! Two-dog limit. Must be leash and crate trained, two years or older, and 45lbs or less. $50 per pet, nonrefundable.
- Access: Castaway Cabin is considered easy access with plenty of parking space. However, we always recommend 4WD/AWD when traveling in winter.
