A cute and cozy second-floor room in the Solitude Lodge, designed efficiently with everything couples need for a short trip to Estes Park, including air conditioning (which is rare in Estes).

Located on the eastern edge of the Estes Valley, the space features a comfortable king bed, a kitchenette with mini fridge and coffee maker, and an electric fireplace beneath a mounted TV for cozy evenings.

The room makes smart use of its space with built-in storage and thoughtful layout. The bathroom has a luxe rain shower and heated towel (and clothes) rack to keep things warm and dry.

A shared hot tub (10 AM-9 PM) steps away, while an outdoor dining area overlooks the Estes Valley.

The grounds in the Solitude Cabins community attract elk and deer regularly - wildlife often appears in the early morning and evening hours around the common areas.

A paved path leads to Lake Estes in about 7 minutes for easy walks around the water.

From this Sketch Box Lane location, downtown Estes Park`s restaurants and attractions are 5 minutes away, while Rocky Mountain National Park`s trails and scenic drives are perfectly positioned for day trips.

The Solitude Lodge is a quiet neighborhood of vacation cabins near Lake Estes, just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park. This is a peaceful, family-friendly resort community. It encompasses 45 standalone cabins, a main lodge with 7 hotel-style rooms, and a meeting space/gathering area. The grounds cover 9 acres and back up to wild forest to the east, so wildlife frequent the neihgborhood. Lake Estes has a great walking path around it and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Solitude is only a few minutes by car to downtown Estes Park.

You will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town`s free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude neighborhood. That shuttle runs from July to September and will take you to downtown, and from there you can take other shuttles around the Estes Valley.

NO SMOKING, NO FIRES

This building was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits. Charcoal BBQs are banned.

ROAD CONDITIONS

Estes has a great plow team and our parking area will also be plowed during storms, but if there`s a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
