Well positioned for town centre. One lift out of two was out of order. TV didn't work. skirting boards had damp rot. Dining room was chaotic with nowhere to sit for breakfast, and is clearly inadequate for the size of the hotel. Staff seemed to be going through the motions and didn't really seem to engage with customers. English breakfast was self service, with the usual cold baked beans and leather like bacon. Room was stiflingly hot despite turning the heating right down. On the plus side, I did however have a quiet nights sleep.

Staff were great! Pleasant and friendly. Sheet were incredibly fresh and pleasant as always in holiday in. A real disappointment when the sink was clog trying it for the first time 12 o’clock at night and made me gag. It put a bummer on things. It made a disappointment.

Got no breakfast!

With a full hotel of 180 guests breakfast missed as small refectory was too packed to eat and denied by early closure of 10am on a sunday - the hotel knew the dilemma but did nothing to help their guests who paid - typically by extending the time by an hour to the normal 11am. Won't make that expensive mistake again!!!

A lovely weekend stay .

A great stay with my family for a birthday weekend. Everything was seamless from the time we arrived to the time we left. The staff were warm and friendly and attentive to need and our room was comfortable and quiet even though it was a busy weekend night . We would definitely come back again.

I used to travel a lot for business and I often thought what makes great customer service in a Hotel. I've had some stays where staff should clearly not be engaging with customers. Why am I saying this ? That is because of my amazing experience and the fantastic team at H.Inn Express in Exeter. They understand great customer service and provide it every day ! They are a credit to Holiday Inn Brilliant team Brilliant hotel Breakfast amazing 10/10 in every aspect - greeted with a smile and a pleasant warm welcome every day. Will be back !
