Escape to our cherished 1,250 sq ft lakefront cottage, tucked away in a quiet cove near the end of the lake.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a dramatic floor-to-ceiling window wall in the family room framing the sparkling water beyond — it never gets old.
Vaulted ceilings throughout give the cottage an airy, spacious feel, while the wood burning stove adds warmth and charm for cool evenings. Step outside onto the expansive south-facing deck right at the water’s edge — the perfect spot to watch the sun move across the lake all day long.
The Space
Three bedrooms sleep the whole family comfortably: two queen bedrooms with fresh linens and pillows, plus a third room with two single beds. In two of the bedrooms, there is room to put luggage, etc., under the beds. The sunroom offers two comfortable sofas
as well as a large dining table - a favourite gathering spot to play games or just have some quiet time - step out onto the upper deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake.
The cottage features a brand new three-piece bathroom, sparkling clean and fresh for your stay. (We haven’t even seen it except in photos) The updated IKEA kitchen is compact but thoughtfully equipped with everything a keen cook needs —gadgets, utensils, and lake views included. A propane BBQ sits just off the kitchen at the back door, and a cozy pew on the back porch is the ideal perch for your morning coffee.
Getting to the Cottage
The cottage is nestled at the water’s edge, which means there is a fairly long stairway down from the upper parking area — something to keep in mind when you arrive. The good news is that we have an electric lift to carry your suitcases, groceries, and gear down for you (not a people mover), so you won’t have to wrestle everything down the steps. Just bring yourself — the lift handles the heavy lifting!
The Location
Situated on beautiful Falcon Lake in the heart of Whiteshell Provincial Park, the cottage is far enough from the bustle to feel like a true escape — but closer than you’d think to everything you need. Groceries are just a short drive away, and when you’re ready for a little fun, you’ll find one of Manitoba’s top golf courses, mini golf, pickleball courts, ice cream stands, and some great local restaurants all within easy
reach. The best of both worlds — peaceful lakeside living with convenience just around the corner.
What’s Included
Canoe, sit on top kayaks, propane BBQ, washer/dryer, Wi-fi, smart TV, board games, puzzles, a well-stocked bookshelf snd wood burning fire pit on deck. .
A Note from Us
We’ve spent over thirty years making this cottage a true home away from home. We rent rarely, and we’re hoping to welcome guests who will love it the way we do. Our wonderful neighbours on either side share a mutual respect for privacy and the peaceful lake setting — something we all treasure.
About Your Hosts
We’re Pat and Russ, married for 58 years and proud parents of two daughters whose families — including our four grandchildren — all live close to us in Calgary. Although the cottage is 1,250 km from home, we make the journey as often as we can — it’s where we’ve made some of our most treasured memories, welcoming our daughters and their families, reconnecting with old friends, and simply enjoying the lake. We hope you’ll feel that warmth the moment you walk through the door.
We speak English and are happy to answer any questions to help make your stay perfect.
