Our room was disgusting. I walked in and there were huge cobwebs on the walls. Dust on the picture frames. The room was humid and with a strong must stench. Sadly I had my 4 kids with me and we turned around and walked out and went somewhere else to stay.

I booked a hot tub suite through Expedia for a special occasion two months in advance. When I arrived, I was told hot tub rooms weren’t guaranteed and that the booking system doesn’t distinguish between standard rooms and those with amenities. Something I was never informed of ahead of time. I was downgraded to a basic room with no compensation. The hotel staff admitted this kind of downgrade “happens all the time.” The price difference between the basic room and the suite is significant, yet I was basically told “too bad.” Both the hotel and Expedia refused to take responsibility, each blaming the other. Management at the Fargo Baymont claimed no liability for what I paid, and Expedia only offered a small credit after I paid more than double the value of the room I got. Extremely disappointing experience. Be careful booking through Expedia and dealing with management at the Fargo Baymont Hotel.

So the room’s top lock was loose. There was light visible through a missing seal between door and door jam. It was really cold with no way to control any heat or ac. The room was very dirty. Mold on the ceiling of the shower. There was a man talking late at night by my room and he sounded agitated. I didn’t feel safe there and will not be returning. I have videos but unable to load them.

Cheap place to sleep

Some of the hotel was undergoing renovations, but the parking lot was full of potholes, the door was hard to open, the halls and room smelled musty. The only thing good about the hotel was the location to the highway.

Very disappointed

We had booked a specific room and was put into a lesser value room and charged for the room we booked. When we inquired we were told that room we booked was not available. There was hair in the tub and the sunk in the room was dirty. We were allowed to stay in the room we booked. Even though it was supposed to be painted but was ready to be used. We were also double charged for our stay.

I was traveling from two hours away for an appointment so I booked this hotel so it would be close to where I needed to go & I made sure to book a dog friendly room since I would have my dog with me. Prior to checking in I got a link to fill out customer info digitally (name, pic of your ID, vehicle info, & cc to put on file for deposit) to make the check in process faster. I did that. But upon arrival, I had to fill that info out again, but then the person running the desk kept trying to run my physical card for the deposit & it kept declining, I knew I had more than enough in my account that it shouldn’t be declining but he insisted it was something on my end & making me feel like I was an inconvenience to him, only for him to realize he wasn’t clicking the right thing. I even double checked that I was getting a dog friendly room because I didn’t want to get charged extra for their error if it wasn’t , but he made it seem like it didn’t matter. Upon finally getting our room key & going to the room we walked into a still dirty room from the previous customer. We had to walk back up to the front, apologize that we couldn’t accept that room due to it being dirty, & wait for him to check another room for us. The 2nd room we got, it was clean. There was a vent in the shower that is a little suspicious, like someone could hide a camera in there & watch you shower kinda weird. The courtyard you could go out to from your room was absolutely trashed.

I was put in a room with no AC and was not told this. There was hair all over in my bathroom the fridge did not stay closed. When we asked for a fan they offered to switch rooms when we did she gave us a key for someone else’s room so we walked into a room with someone in it after telling her she gave us a new key to a different room. I’ve stayed here many times and never received poor service like this but it was aweful and hair in my bathroom is disgusting
