Located in the heart of Chattanooga Valley, GA this brand-new home boasts stunning views of Lookout Mountain just 12 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga. This cozy 2-bedroom 1 bathroom basement apartment is filled with rustic design, 9 foot ceilings, and large windows that make the space feel airy and light. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the outdoor patio or use the firepit in the evenings to relax overlooking the surrounding scenery. Bear Cottage at the Woodland Lodge is waiting for you! ***This is 1 of 2 vacation rentals on the property. Bear Cottage is a basement unit and there is a separate vacation rental above called the Bird's Nest. Due to this being a basement unit, you will hear the guests above you if the upper unit is rented during your stay. We provide white noise machines and earbuds in both bedrooms. Each unit has its own designated parking area and private entrance. Both units are kept private and inaccessible from each other via two locked interior doors. The upstairs unit (The Bird's Nest) is equipped with its own dedicated outdoor grill, firepit and patio. Bird's Nest guests will not have access to the parking, outdoor grill, lawn, or the firepit designated to Bear Cottage. You will not have access to the hot tub upstairs!

HOME LAYOUT:
When entering the front door to the Bear Cottage, there is an open concept fully stocked kitchen and living area. Around the corner is a game room with a large 65” flat screen TV, a pool table, shuffle board table, and an arcade game which is a great place to relax and unwind while on vacation! There are strict quiet hours observed in home from 10pm - 8 am. Down the hall you'll find 2 bedrooms, a laundry room, and a full bathroom with a tub shower combo. The first bedroom has a queen bed with access to the shared bathroom along with a large walk-in closet equipped with a regular-sized baby crib. Across the hall, the second bedroom is a large room with 2 queen beds.

Kitchens and Outdoor Grill: The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to make delicious meals – pots, pans, plate ware, bakeware, silverware, glassware, cooking utensils, coffee mugs, etc. We no not provide any cooking oils or spices - although previous guests may have left basic spices in the spice cupboard that we weed through regularly. We provide a medium roast coffee and filters for our guests! There is a charcoal grill available for guest use on the property. Please bring your own charcoal and clean the grill grate after each use. Thank you!

Smart TV's: There are 3 large flat screen TVs in this apartment! There is 1 in the bunk bedroom, 1 in the pool table room, and one in the living space area. You can log into your own accounts using the apps on the Smart TVs to watch movies and TV shows: Netflix, Prime Video, HBO, etc.

Important Things to Note:

1. As mentioned above this is 1 of 2 vacation rentals on the property. The main level and 2nd story of the home (The Bird's Nest) is also a vacation rental. Each unit has its own designated parking area and private entrance. You will not be able to access the other unit from the inside. The Bird's Nest has its own outdoor grill, fire pit and patio and guests will not have access to the parking spots, outdoor grill, lawn, or the fire pit that is designated to Bear Cottage.
2. PARKING: MAX 3 Vehicles There is only space to park a total of 3 medium sized vehicles at this property! Guests will need to park single-file in the designated parking area.
3. Steep Driveway: This home sits up on a hill and there is a steep paved blacktop driveway that leads to the top.
4. There are strict quiet hours from 10 pm-8 am in this apartment due to the upstairs unit also being a vacation rental.

LADY BUGS - You may see some lady bugs in the home. Majority of the homes in this area have them. To stay ahead of this we are on preventative monthly pest control maintenance for all of our properties. Unfortunately they are still VERY hard to get rid of! Thankfully, they are harmless! But please know you will most likely see ladybugs in the home during your stay.

Weather and Outages! Please note: There will be no refunds in the unlikely circumstance that there is a power outage during your stay or if the weather is not cooperating. We do not have any control over the weather or outages caused by nature! We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance to be preventative in case something happens and you need to cancel.

CANCELLATION & TRAVEL INSURANCE NOTICE:
We operate under a strict cancellation policy, according to this property's cancellation policy. We do not offer refunds for cancellations, date changes, early departures, weather-related issues, personal circumstances, or travel disruptions of any kind.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance at checkout to protect their investment. Travel insurance is the only way to safeguard against unexpected events that may impact your ability to travel.
