U climb 30 steps with ur luggage before getting to an elevator. Simple things like an electrical plug near a nightstand, a nightstand near the head of the bed to put stuff on. The entire bathroom is a shower

Andrea was a responsive manager and upgraded us to a marvelous room that was very nicely renovated and LARGE! The bed was very comfortable and we had a view of the Ponte Vecchio --air conditioning was good and there was no street noise despite the location being so central. The ONLY drawback is the fact that there is no working lift and you have to drag your luggage up n down stairs yourself. I highly recommend the hotel hire a porter to transport luggage.

Hotel Alessandra was so wonderful. We've never experienced such welcoming staff each and every time we returned to the hotel. Monty and Harvey were such fun and so helpful upon our arrival. The breakfast choices were of good variety and tasty. It is true there are about 30 stairs as you arrive...but then there is a small lift. We lovedbour room with a view of the river and would certainly choose yo stay there again...it would feel like returning home. Thank you!

Don’t let the 2 stars fool you, this hidden gem was an amazing stay! The staff, location and the amenities on site were perfect for my needs. The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast daily was delicious and the wine on hand was perfect! You’re in walking distance to everything. I really enjoyed the live music daily in the circle down the road! Again this is a hidden gem that won’t disappoint!

A beautiful, historic building in a perfect location! Walking distance from the markets, Duomo, Uffizi, restaurants, etc. We had a large, lovely room with a terrace overlooking a historic church with a bell tower. Our quad room was perfect for my family of four. I wish we could stay longer, but we will return to the Hotel Alessandra!

Nice hotel

We liked this hotel. The people at the reception were very friendly, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty nice. Coffee was from a machine, but the buffet was well stocked. The neighborhood is pleasant and safe.

This hotel is perfectly located for 3 nights in Florence. The room was a great size, bed very comfortable and large. The staff at the hotel is just as excellent as the location and provided very good recommendations on where to eat! Monti greeted us upon arrival and was an amazing host. We will definitely be back!

This is a very special hotel. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I was traveling solo and they made sure that I was taken care of at all times. They always remembering who I was without me saying anything. My room was small but perfect for just me. It was clean and had everything. The location could not have been better. You are in the middle of all the things so no matter where you are heading it is an easy walk. I would stay here again when traveling back to Florence.

Location was great, easy to walk to major sites! We walked to/from the train station, not super close, but not a bad 15 min walk. Our room was wonderful and the staff was top notch. Clean room with a great view of the river. There is a small private terrace on the top floor available for use at any time. Breakfast was delicious. A warning though: there are about 30 steps from the street to an elevator/lift as the reception desk and rooms are 2-3 floors above street level.

This is a beautiful location, very historic and full of character, and very close to Ponte Vecchio. My only complaint would be that the bed was a bit too small for two full grown adults.

Really hard work going up the stairs but that is normal for Florence. Same applies to parking and finding the hotel. That said the location can’t be beat and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was awesome and the stay worked out well. Parking was difficult and expensive but welcome to Florence!
