Great breakfast- and so many steps!! There is a lift, but there are floors off to the side between floors as well. Room was spacious, clean bathrooms. Fairly quiet, for being in such a busy location. Highly recommend.

Our recent stay at this hotel had both positive and challenging aspects. The hotel is well-located, within walking distance of major attractions and the train station, and the surrounding neighborhood felt safe and accessible. We especially enjoyed the restaurant directly across the street, which offered a great dining experience. However, there were several areas where the experience did not meet expectations. The room we were assigned faced a busy street and lacked adequate soundproofing—we could clearly hear street noise as well as sounds from the neighboring room, which made it difficult to rest. Additionally, the bathroom was extremely compact, to the point where maneuvering was uncomfortable. The shower area was particularly cramped, and the drain appeared to be malfunctioning, resulting in frequent flooding. The included breakfast was very basic and limited in variety. When we approached staff to request a room change due to the noise issue, the response was dismissive and unaccommodating. We were told to wait for another staff member, but no further assistance was provided. Overall, while the location is excellent, the room comfort and service did not reflect the price point. We do not plan to return to this property in the future.

I booked three rooms for my family in July 2025 my daughter was in a single room. She was woken at 3am by banging on the door, she thought it was her door. It was actually the door next to hers room 203. She is a confident young lady but was frightened, she was going to phone reception but did not want the man banging to hear her. A few mins later an Italian gentleman came and shouted at the person banging on the door. She does not speak Italian so does not know if he was staff. At approx 9am I spoke to reception explained what had happened and said I would return in an hour to resolve the complaint. I returned to reception spoke to the only lady on reception who advised me she had spoken to management and could only offer 28 euros. If my daughter had called reception at 3am maybe they could have done more. I said so your putting all the responsibility on your guest a frighten single young lady. I find this so unacceptable Don’t hotels have responsibilities to their lone female guests. My daughter came down to reception to check out and I introduced her to the reception lady, she acknowledge her but DID NOT APOLOGISED TO HER OR ACKNOWLEDGED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I felt insulted by response from staff. I said I would complete a review and she said they will respond

Stay in an old palace

This is a lovely hotel in an old palace in Florence. It has many levels (and therefore lots of stairs!) gorgeous old furniture , painted ceilings in public spaces. It's in walking distance of the train station and of the Duomo. We had a problem with the a/c in our room, but they fixed it promptly.

excellent service, from front desk to breakfast staff. breakfast was delicious (hot breakfast buffet incl eggs snd pancakes and pastries and yogurts and breads and jams etc.). all the staff was great, and were super friendly. they helped with our luggage too! very central location to like all attractions. the hotel was an older hotel likely, but super cute. it all worked. any issues; they were happy to fix and in a timely manner too. would 100% stay here again. loved our room patio and the views were great! AC was great in the room! dont forget your international chargers! enjoy! thanks to everyone! oh and if walking from the station, go around using that first street on thr left after the church because itll make lugging around ur stuff a tad easier.
