It was a bit unclear how to access the property in the building but once I did, all went well. Each staff member, including the night guard, were very kind and accommodating. After a long day of traveling that was a great gift!

We enjoyed our stay in Florence. This is an excellent location, steps away from the Uffizi gallery. All the sights are within easy walking distance. Yet it is tucked in a quiet corner away from the crowds. We visited 4 cities on this trip and our room in Florence was the biggest, with a roomy bathroom. The room was modern and clean and located on the 3rd floor. There is an elevator in the building, but we did not use the elevator, preferring to use the stairs instead. We walked from and to the train station. This is definitely doable as the route is pretty flat. Depending on the time of day, you may have to dodge the crowd, or you can have the staff arrange for transport. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Great service. Check in was quick and easy and they kept our bags for us as we arrived in the morning and moved the bags to our room when it was ready. On our last day they kept our bags for us while we spent the morning exploring before taking the 3pm train to Rome. This was greatly appreciated as it made getting around a lot easier. There is no breakfast facility, but they provided bottled water in the mini fridge and tea and coffee. But this is Florence so there are a wide array of breakfast options within minutes of the property. Overall we were very happy with this property and will not hesitate to recommend it. Grazia Mille.

Location!

The Salterelli is all about the great location. Speaking of location, it can be hard to find at first. But wow, half an alley from the plaza, and a block from the river. Simona at the front desk was super helpful. She gave us all kinds of good restaurant recommendations. The rooms are small but cute and have all the amenities. The coffee machine is a bonus. In our room right next to the reception we had a big window looking out into the courtyard. We ate at some of the nearby restaurants, including Buca Poldo, which is underground and delicious. We also had pizza and drinks in the Plaza Duoma, which is big, and like a museum with all of the statues. We al walked up and down and all around the Arnos River, which is a few steps away.

Great location

Overall location is great! Minutes from everything. Check in was smooth, the lady up front was so sweet and friendly. Only complaint was the room had a weird sewer smell but slowly went away by day 2 but stil smelled it. Overall nice stay.

We enjoyed being on the old city side of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, much less congested. Simone was great at the front desk, helped us out with the taxi/marathon issue.

I was there for 2 nights, but the last night the AC broke. Not much a big deal, we open the window. But, the bed made a big noise every time we turned. Other than that is a great place to stay. Staff were great.
