Very pleasant

- I had a great stay at this hostel. - It is just a 15-minute walk from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station—I had a backpack and a carry-on suitcase, and the walk was very manageable. - Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. - The 6-bed room was clean and spacious enough to comfortably fit three bunk beds. Remember to bring your own padlock, 30 mm. - Shared bathroom was roomy, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. - Central air conditioning worked well, which made a big difference during the summer heat. - Since I stayed during the summer, there were quite a few school groups and teenagers around, which made it a bit noisy at times—but it was totally understandable given the season and atmosphere. - Breakfast was available for a fee and offered a variety of fresh and satisfying options each morning. - Laundry facilities were very convenient, especially for a longer stay—just make sure to read the instructions carefully before using the machines. - Storage facility was another big plus: it felt very secure, with each piece of luggage tagged with a numbered ticket. Staff are always present to ensure belongings are only picked up by the rightful owner. Just make sure not to lose your ticket.

This property was definitely the biggest hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and it showed. Not necessarily a bad thing! Just full of people. The amenities were very nice, being a restaurant and a few bars inside the property. It did take over an hour to check in though, as it was so busy. The bathrooms inside the shared rooms were not very clean, and I was holding my breath every time I went in. Other than that, an absolutely beautiful hostel in a good part of town and definitely a deal for the price.

Disappointing Experience Despite Promising Amenities This hostel seems to cater well to students and travelers who enjoy a communal, hostel-style environment. On paper, the amenities appear great — a nice range for budget-conscious guests. However, once you arrive, you quickly realize that many of the amenities have very limited hours. This is inconvenient for travelers who spend their days exploring the city and would prefer to use these facilities in the evening, not during the middle of the day. More importantly, the staff experience was extremely disappointing. There’s a noticeable lack of hospitality and customer service. Staff often come across as entitled and dismissive, and interactions left me feeling disrespected. If you’re used to a basic level of professionalism, courtesy, or even a welcoming environment, this might not be the right place for you. At times, it felt like we were being treated more like high school students than paying guests. Our room was basic, which we expected. However, it lacked sufficient wall plugs, the AC unit was ineffective, and we even experienced a power outage. When we brought this up, we were told there were “too many devices” plugged into a single outlet — not exactly a comforting or helpful response. Overall, there’s clearly a lack of involvement or oversight from management. Older rooms need serious updating, and staff could benefit from proper hospitality training.

Had a very nice pool and lounge area, restaurant and bar too. Like a hostel resort. Florence is very walkable and this hostel was in the area of walkability. Has washer/dryers but it ate my Euros and the staff could not refund it.

FAV HOSTEL EVER! LOVED IT.

Wow this hostel was truly an all-inclusive experience. We got a private room and it was HUGE! Our room was clean and everything was up to par. The hotel is in an exceptionally walkable area. There’s a streetcar and bus that you can catch right from the Florence train to the hotel which was very convenient. The pool area was a fantastic amenity and relaxing escape from the bustling city. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this property. Only slight issue is the long check in line but it goes by fast.

I would stay here again. While the check in process was a bit slow, the room was comfy, air conditioned, and had a great shower. There's a rush for check in at 3pm so be prepared to wait. They have a great luggage service for 3 euros, so you can ditch your stuff and wander the city while you wait for check in, or before you leave the city. Everything is walkable from this location, which is fabulous.

The front desk was always crowded with only 1 person "available". I could understand the AC policy. It was turned on but they couldn't lend me the remote (in order to increase air ventilation). On the other hand, t asked three times for the maintenance guy to pay a visit to fix the AC, but I checked out 3 days later and I was still wainting. Overall, it's a good place, close to main attractions, city center etc, but terrible service.
