The original South Florida party house and one of the most famous mansions in Florida. Personal residence of JW Young, founder of the City of Hollywood and Port Everglades. This architectural masterpiece was designed by the renowned architectural house of Rubish & Hunter, with significant influences from famous Palm Beach architect, and friend of Mr. Young, Addison Mizner. The house is both Mediterranean Revival and Spanish/Moorish architectural styles. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of Interior. Three former presidents of the United States have played billiards upstairs. This property has been featured in television, film, and in other forms of media. Recording artist Sean Paul, Myke Towers, and Juhn have done recent music videos in late 2024 and 2025.

This property will make you feel like you have been teleported to an Andalusian villa in southern Spain. Slate billiards table with a Tiffany billiards room light, English pub style bar, outdoor gas grill, televisions and streaming video in every bedroom including the family room (8 total TVs), beautiful formal dinning room and living room with imported limestone fireplaces for entertaining- sound system for music throughout the house, Jacuzzi tub in marble master bath, also waffle maker, juice maker, coffee maker, toaster- ect..., 25 ft X 45 ft heated pool with lounge chairs and cabana with full bathroom and a serving kitchen with a refrigerator. A gorgeous formal courtyard with a fountain and two additional Moorish fountains located on the property. All of this is framed with stunning formal gardens, imported marble statues (five in total), with great Moorish limestone fixtures. The landscaping utilizes night blooming jasmines, gardenias, magnolias, and a huge flowering joy perfume tree to enhance the fragrant appeal of the property.

The mansion is ideally located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. World renowned South Beach is just 25 minutes away. The home is close to both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports. Gulfstream Park (horse racing, gaming, dining, and entertainment) is just 7 minutes away. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is just 15 minutes away. Only 17 minutes to Dolphins Stadium. Famous Ft. Lauderdale Beach is only 20 minutes away and charming Hollywood Beach (with the only beachfront boardwalk in Florida), is a short walk. Also walking distance is charming downtown Hollywood, with great shops, outdoor cafes, wine bars, jazz bars, nightclubs, etc.

Rent jet skis just up the beach, or charter a fishing boat, etc. Most South Florida attractions are within 30 minutes driving time.

The mansion is astonishing! The location is magnificent, and Richard, the host, was incredibly accommodating with outstanding communication.We stayed at the house and also filmed a vertical series on the property. It is extremely photogenic and cinematic—I couldn’t have asked for a better location. I will definitely rent it again!

The Mansion has tons of history and character. The location is fantastic! It is a very large place with lots of comfortable beds to accommodate the 17 of us. The outside is gorgeous, however, the pool was low and not cleaning itself correctly when we were there and it was a bit cold to swim. All the restrooms except the master are in need of repair in some form. The walls could use a scrub and some fresh paint. There were only 3 hand towels for the kitchen. There is a damp smell to the house but it is an OLD place and since windows have to be kept closed it makes sense. There is something wrong with the dryer. The huge main refrigerator and wine fridge DO NOT work. The other fridge works fine but the fridge in the cabana is not cold enough for food -ok for drinks. For the amount of people the house holds it should have another or a bigger refrigerator. The cabana has a strong mold/mildew smell that is a little overwhelming. The owner is very nice and responsive. He was there when we were and was staying on the property. He came in and out of the house a few times only in The laundry room. He did go out and purchase beach chairs which was so nice. I can’t imagine how much it would cost to keep up with the maintenance if this place but the cost to rent it is a little high for the repairs needed. In all….we had a great stay! The pool table, ping pong table, and foosball table were a definite perk!

Incredible historic home with plenty of space and character. It’s newly listed and in need of several renovations for furniture, bathrooms, and fridges, but in my opinion the unique architecture and location make it more than worth it. Highlights were the pool table being placed in such a cool central area, the dining room with amazing chairs and table, and the beautiful pool with a covered area in case it rains. The lows of the property are the kitchen which has a large fridge out of service and the dated bathrooms and furniture in some areas, so if you prefer a modern, clean look and have no care for the architecture I would not recommend this over other properties.We threw my wedding shower here for 60 and it was perfect with over 20 sleeping overnight comfortably.

Our stay at the Young Mansion was truly unforgettable! The house itself is one of a kind full of character, charm, and history that made the experience feel so unique compared to a typical rental. We hosted a 50th birthday party here, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. From the beautiful architecture to the spacious layout, every detail of the mansion made the celebration special and memorable for everyone who attended.On top of that, the host was excellent and very communicative, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. If you’re looking for a property that offers both a stunning setting and an extraordinary experience, the Young Mansion is it. We’ll be talking about this trip for years to come!

This was perfect for our annual Aug Bday bash with family. Knowing that it is a Historical Home will help with expectations of age of the home and we enjoyed that the owners kept that vibe. Yes, there could be some upgrades but, for our group, that was part of the charm and the experience. Had great communication before/during/after the stay.Pros: Lots of room for privacy yet areas for group time (we really enjoyed the large dining table) - location is ideal; between beach and downtown - kitchen had everything you needed for meals (although we were not aware that the working 1/2 of the freezer, in the kitchen, was actually a freezer so we froze all our food, lol) - Pool/bbq area is awesome. Yard areas very relaxing. Pool and ping-pong tables a plus. Cons: 1st upstairs bathroom could use some upgrading (bathtub not working condition/shower has non-working nozzles that just take up shower space) - a bit musty for those with allergies (again, it is part of the charm, just saying...) - staircase & railing could be secured (no sneaking downstairs) - one of the TVs had issues connecting to the weak internet - a bit too easy to NOT leave the house so didn't see as much of Hollywood as planned :)We all would stay again!
