The lobby, restaurants, pools, and water park are excelent. However, the guest room had many issues. Bathroom: No where to place soap in shower so have to hold in your hand or drop to the floor. They put no cup or glass to hold toothbrushes. When we arrived there was no shampoo and had to wait for them to bring some. They offer a coffee machine that is not plugged in and does not even have an electric outlet nearby. There is no coffee, cream or sugar in the room or even a coffee mug or cup to put it in. Since all the electrical outlets only offer the brazilian plugs, we had to buy adapters for all our equipment.

Location was OK. Place is overrun with misbehaving children, and several guests (not staff) were quite rude. Our initial rooms were quite bad and it took until about 10:30 pm to finally get into some decent rooms for us and our 2 adult children. We would not stay there again, given a choice.

The people in charge of customer service are extremely slow and inefficient at check-in and check-out. It is surprising how they do not offer to help when someone is free, besides they do not explain anything, they do not understand Spanish or English (I asked specifically this and the woman said no) considering that there are dozens of foreigners in that place. When we got to our room, we realized that it had not been cleaned or maybe other people were still there and we had to go out again to ask the reservation desk for another one. The facilities seemed average to me for the premium price they charge and the dinner options are limited. I had to go to eat at the MyMabu hotel next door to find more variety. The next day they told us that we could continue using the pool after check-out, but when we arrived at the pool we were surprised that we needed bracelets to do so, nobody explained it to us, we walked back 200 meters to ask for it again. Moreover, At evening the pools had a smell, I don't know if it was because of the large number of people. I don’t think I would visit this hotel again

o hotel só é considerado 5 estrelas por ter as instalações necessárias para atingir esta categoria, na verdade é um 3 estrelas com espaço de convenções. a comida é péssima, não há nada pra fazer no hotel q não seja pago. 2 restaurantes self service e um a la carte, que só abre em fins de semana, se houver reserva. Bebidas na piscina são servidas em copinhos de plástico de festa de criança e não em copos ou taças de plastico, como tomar um gin tonica em um copo de aniversario infantil? não existem garçons na área da piscina (aliás em lugar algum) e nem no bar principal, apesar de todo o esforço do barman, se consegue um atendimento à altura de um hotel apenas razoavel. no banheiro o papel higienico fica em um dispenser de banheiro publico. A qualidade de um hotel é medida em detalhes, como um aroma agradável no lobby, e não um cheiro enjoativo de desinfetante. até a arrumação das cadeiras na piscina precisaria de uma melhor coordenação, ficam justapostas uma às outras e não se passa por elas...ridículo

O que falta na classificação de hotéis é algo tipo estrelas Michelin. Um hotel é classificado como 5 estrelas por ter salas de convenção, restaurante, bar, piscina etc. O Mabu tem tudo isso, mas não passa de um 3 estrelas com as facilities. Para casais jovens, com crianças, é uma opção excelente, mas para quem tem base de comparação é lamentável. Pra começar, no banheiro não tem nenhum produto que qq hotel disponibiliza, hidratante, cotonetes, touca de banho, sabonete e shampoo de qualidade. As toalhas são da pior qualidade, parecem lixa de unha. Um hotel de categoria (suposta) 5 estrelas com dispensador de papel higiênico que se utiliza em indústria?! Em hotéis simplesmente razoáveis, todos os dias as pontas dos rolos de painel são dobradas, simples detalhe, mas isso faz a diferença, a qualidade está nos detalhes e não na quantidade. Outro exemplo, um parque aquático fantástico, mas se quiser alguma coisa tem que entrar na piscina, e pedir no bar molhado, não existem garçons para atender fora do bar, então se arrisque a pedir qq coisa diferente de cerveja, os atendentes não estão preparados e não conhecem nem os drinks oferecidos no cardápio. Imagine vc querer algo para comer, vai esperar vir da cozinha central e se aventurar pela piscina com uma porção de filé aperitivo e batata frita, que de qq modo já chegaram frios.... Novamente, as estrelas devem ser conquistadas pela qualidade e pelos detalhes

Hotel excelente, com piscinas amplas e muito boas. Café da manhã excepcional. O que deixou a desejar foi o check-in (excessivamente demorado) e a área de jogos/lazer (pequena quantidade de meses de sinuca, tênis de mesa, por exemplo, para o número de hóspedes). Outro ponto negativo é o número de atividades dentro do hotel que são cobradas a parte (como algumas estrutura das sala de jogos, tirolesa e etc), que já poderiam estar inclusa as no alto valor da diária.
