Resort-level comfort

This hotel felt like a resort. The room was comfortable, the service highly attentive, the common spaces and pool area absolutely lovely. Moreover, the buffet meals were delicious and a good value. Finally, the location was highly convenient for entering the National Park and the nearby bird sanctuary.

Like: Very friendly staff, convenient to the park, great sitting areas in the hotel, very nice grounds and pool facilities, good buffet dinner, excellent buffet breakfast, very comfortable bed. Cleaning staff were great. Didn't Like: The room wasn't small (as we expected), it was TINY. It was what we would call a "one-butt" room...only one person at a time can get from one side to the other. The bathroom was small but O.K. for one person.

This property was very beautiful!!. The pool was a great amenity! I loved the breakfast bar everyday. There was a wide assortment of items to choose from. The property is very closely located to the Brazil side of Iguazu Falls, the Bird Park, and the helicopter tours location. The negatives were the food options outside of breakfast. They did not have a lot of variety and were not very tasty. I ordered some cheese fries with bacon and I literally got fries with SPRAY cheese and bacon on top. No one should be using spray cheese in a supposed high end hotel restaurant. The second negative, was that our toilet was not flushing properly and we notified them, but it did not get fixed until the next morning. That's completely unacceptable again for a supposed high end hotel.

Its great location with walking distance to the bird park and fall,just be aware not to get any tour deals and packages from this hotel,there is a guy name gabriel who's represent from loumar turismo company or destino iguaso which trying to sell deals over 3 times the price.recommend if you wanna get any tickets or deal go get by yourself or find other companies.but other than that everything else was great(pool area was my favorate)breakfast was good,the only thing the stuff couldn't talk english well which we had google translate😂٫i defenitly go back again.

They charged me twice and were unable to refund me

When I checked in, the hotel made me pay for my stay. Again. So, I double paid. They later sent me a long text taking ownership of the issue and were very apologetic. They attempted to refund me, but were unable to. Instead, they deducted hotel costs like spa, lunch, dinner, mini bar, etc from the cost, but I was still left with the equivalent of about $100. At checkout, when I’m about to get on a plane to the US, their solution was to give me a bunch of cash in Brazilian Reals which is useless at home. They told me to take it to currency conversion and I asked them to pay the high transaction fee that would come with it and they couldn’t. So, now I’ve got a bunch of useless cash and not very happy with how this was handled.

The Sanma was very close to the Iguassu Falls park entrance and the wonderful bird sanctuary, Parque das Aves. The breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious. The staff was very accommodating and the grounds impeccable.

Perfect location by the bird park, falls park, and helipad. Beautiful pool, pretty newly decorated room, pretty common areas. Helpful staff. The restaurant was the only disappointment- the promotional poster outside shows a chef making a gourmet pasta in a cheese wheel so we thought it would be a nice restaurant, but instead it was a big, cold room with garish lights and a buffet. Food was ok. Not anywhere else to eat around there. Hotel itself is a perfect place to stay for the falls. Just walk across the street.

I had cockroaches in my room. Also, we received complementary breakfast with my reservationand when we went to the breakfast, there was bugs (flys) all over the food. We asked to speak to management. I even showed them pictures and videos of the cockroaches, they offered us a complementary night, but why would I want to stay in a place like that again? They also told me they cannot make any refunds because I had booked through Expedia… and once I reached out to Expedia, Expedia stated that they reached out to the hotel and that they refuse to refund me. Luckily, I only was there for one night but unfortunately, I had booked for two rooms and spent almost the same amount of money that I spent for a week stay in another hotel in Brazil. For a hotel that cost this much I expected better service as well and when we spoke to the people at the front desk, they told us that because we are in the middle of the woods that bugs are expected… wrong COCKROACHES, AND FLIES are a sign of dirtiness. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I also saw a couple of other people complain and change their rooms as well. Do NOT stay here

I contacted the hotel 4 days before my reservation to notify them that a family emergency came up so I wasn’t able to make my reservation and asked if any sort of refund was possible. The hotel didn’t even have the decency to respond to my message after multiple follow ups and attempts. Very disappointing and poor customer service.
