Hotel room is small, furnitures are dated. Staff only gave us 1 card key, we asked for more towels and he told us to find the service lady and get it from her. We never saw or ran into the service lady. Price is a little overpriced for the service.

R&B Hakata Ekimae - A great choice

The area around JR Hakata Station, like many retail/transportation hubs in Japan, has no shortage of things to do. JR Hakata Station is part of a larger complex including JR Hakata City and AMU Plaza. There are shops for everything you can think of. And if you're hungry, there's a large above ground food court and two food walkways below ground, distinct from, but linked to the AMU Plaza department store market. R&B Hakata Ekimae hotel is less than a 10 walk away. The hotel was in excellent condition. The lobby well lit and furnished. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The hotel room was also in excellent condition, spotless, and included the modern amenities of a business hotel. After several years of travel from Canada to Japan, I'm still impressed with each hotel I've visited here. R&B Hakata Ekimae is no exception. I can highly recommend this hotel.

When i needed to go to Bathroom, they gave me the chance to make use of public one before going on check-in, and i was able to get some rest in front of front desk at ground floor. The hotel was not bad.

The distance is not far from hakata station, need to walk around 10 minutes. The room is clean and the staffs were nice. Their breakfast is also taste good (types of bread) it’s a great place if you need to go to Hakata station often. Also there is family mart right next to it, so it’s another plus point!

Room as described and clean. Free breakfast is croissant and buns of sort, coffee, fruit juice, boiled eggs and soup broth. Location is good too, a few blocks from the train station.

Decent, bare-minimum but clean and new hotel

Stayed one night for a morning flight out of Fukuoka. 10 min walk to Hakata station which is 2 stops from the airport, so location worked out well for me. Typical Japanese business hotel although I felt the room is a bit smaller even compared to most small business hotel rooms. The amenities are fine, but no free bottled water and the mirror isn't heated (almost all Japanese business hotels I've stayed at had those). Everything is very new though. Check in is 4pm, which is later than most places I think (usually it's 2pm). Breakfast is some bread rolls, hardboiled eggs and coffee. Fine for a one-nighter, but might not be so good value or comfortable for a longer stay, I feel.
