Squatter quarters and drug deals
Well, unfortunately, the hotel has not updated their pictures in a very long time. We booked this hotel due to it being a few miles from the cruise port, and the pictures looked inviting. Well, upon pulling up, I wanted to run far away. There was a literal drug deal going on in the parking lot when we pulled up. They did not mind that we pulled up either. The building looks like it’s been taken over by squatters. Apparently the owner rents the bottom half out by the month or longer, because there’s broken down cars, mattresses, grills, trash, etc all on the bottom. Even a sign in someone’s window selling popcorn and pickles. Oof. There’s a sign in the office that says no pets, but yet at least 3 rooms downstairs had pit bulls in the windows. We rented 2 rooms. Neither were clean. Empty toilet paper wrappers on the floor, fake eyelashes on the floor, molded cup of coffee in the microwave, air conditioner didn’t work, a large gaping hole at the door frame, pillows were covered in mold. We had to run to Walmart to buy new pillows. We stayed out until it was bedtime, and immediately left as soon as we opened our eyes. To be honest, the hotel needs to be demolished.
