Glamping Yurt with Firepit, Hammock & Wood Stove in Garden Valley, Idaho
Tucked along the Middle Fork of the Payette River on 20+ private, riverfront acres in Garden Valley, Idaho — just an hour and fifteen minutes from Boise — our yurt is the newest way to stay at Teepees by the River. It offers the same quiet, motor-free escape into nature as our teepees, with a little more shelter and comfort for those who want to ease into glamping.
The yurt sits on a raised wood deck with a solid, lockable door, and comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. Inside you'll find a twin-over-full bunkbed and a four-piece sectional sofa with a full-size hide-a-bed, 3 cots,loveseat, chair,along with an area rug, a table, and two end tables that make the space feel like a cabin in the round. A wood stove keeps things cozy on cool mountain evenings, a fan keeps air moving on warm afternoons, and the yurt has electricity for added convenience.
You are welcome to bring your own sleeping bags, and air mattresses are a great option if you'd like extra padding for the beds. As with our teepees, plan to bring your own camping gear — cookware, eating utensils, and personal bedding.
Three chemical toilets are situated conveniently throughout the campground. Like our teepee sites, the yurt has its own solar shower, mounted cold-water shower, and a mirror.
The yurt site is outfitted with a firepit, grill grate, picnic bench, log benches, hammock, 2-burner propane camp stove, hibachi grill, and wash basins for dishes. Guests sit and relax while enjoying the sounds of nature. In the evenings, gather around the firepit to roast s'mores under a starry sky — the perfect way to wind down after a full day of hiking and exploring the surrounding area.
Solar lighting and candle lanterns add to the ambient glow around the site after dark. The yurt is pet-friendly, so your four-legged companion is welcome to come along.
