About this property
Hot Tub Deck + Game Room | Mountain + Golf Course Views | Dreaming Bear Cabin
Big groups usually spend the first twenty minutes of a trip sorting out who sleeps where. That conversation doesn't happen here. Dreaming Bear Cabin has five bedrooms and five full bathrooms, one for every room, so the negotiating is over before the bags are unloaded and everyone can get on with the part they actually came for — the deck, the view, and whatever's about to happen on the pool table.
The living space is one wide-open room where the kitchen, the dining table, and the sofas all share the same air. It's the layout that makes a big house feel like a single trip instead of five separate ones. Someone's chopping, someone's setting ten places, someone's half-watching the mountains through the windows and losing the thread of the conversation entirely. The dining table genuinely seats ten, which means the whole group eats together without a folding table in the corner or a kids' shift in the kitchen, and there's a washer and dryer for the muddy-boots, wet-swimsuit, spilled-syrup cycle that every mountain week eventually demands.
Sleeping arrangements are the quiet luxury of this place. Four king bedrooms and a queen bedroom, each with its own private ensuite bath — four of them with a soaking tub as well as a shower. That's four couples who never share a sink, plus a fifth room for whoever needs their own door to close. Two queen sleeper sofas take care of the kids, the cousins, or the friends who decided at the last minute to come along, and a half bath off the main living area keeps the traffic away from the bedrooms. Fourteen people, and nobody's tiptoeing.
The game room is where the evenings go long. A full pool table, a dedicated cards table, and enough room around both that watching is as much fun as playing. Tournament brackets get drawn up. Old family rivalries resurface. The teenagers who swore they'd be on their phones all week end up racking the balls for the third round. Meanwhile, out on the deck, the hot tub bubbles away with the ridgelines going purple in the distance and the golf course greens rolling out below — the two ends of the house serving two completely different moods, which is exactly what you want when fourteen people have fourteen ideas about how to spend an evening. Out here, away from the glow of the Parkway, the stars come out in force, and come October the surrounding hills turn gold and rust straight to the horizon.
The setting earns its keep too. You're on the calm, wooded side of Gatlinburg near Bent Creek, minutes from the Greenbrier entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park — a gorgeous and far less crowded way into the mountains, with river trails, swimming holes, and spring wildflowers. The Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community loop is close by, full of potters, woodworkers, and leather shops run by families who've been at it for generations. Downtown Gatlinburg is a short drive for the SkyBridge, SkyLift Park, Anakeesta, and Ober Mountain, and Pigeon Forge and Dollywood make an easy day out. Then you drive back up, the noise falls away, and the porch is right where you left it.
Bring everyone. There's a bed for all of them, a bathroom door that locks, and a pool table to settle the rest.
