A great find in the centre of Gent. This is an unusual hotel in an old seminary building which has been stylishly converted inside. If you want something that mixes old and new, as well as being very convenient for the centre of Gent, this fits the bill. The studios vary in shape and size, are clean and well organised. The hotel itself was spotless and all staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and out were smooth and easy, one in person, the other a simple key drop. Having a local map built into a convenient key pouch was a nice touch.
What follows is a caution and has not impacted my review of the hotel itself. My party had two rooms and unfortunately these also accommodated at least one mosquito in each, resulting in multiple bites. This must be a common issue, as the hotel food and drink vending machine included an anti-mosquito spray. Obviously this is a difficult thing for the hotel to deal with and is not their fault, but it is worth being aware of this possibility if you suffer reactions to insect bites.
