We love the blythswood. We stayed here two weeks ago and we had the most amazing stay. Last night was unfortunately slightly disappointing. It did not have the wow factor like normal. There was no greeting at the door, no offer to help with car or bags. We had received prosecco on arrival two weeks ago, but not yesterday. Our room was on the bottom floor which was fine. Spa was absolutely mobbed - we saw staff turn away guests due to how busy it was in the limited spa hours. We were only given one set of slippers in our room. The moisturiser didn’t work so couldn’t use it after the shower. We did have a nice time but nothing stood out compared to normal. If this was our first stay I don’t think we would have rushed back.

Room was clean however not sure if it was a full room service everyday or just towels changed as there were days where bedding didn’t seemed changed and rubbish wasn’t removed from room. Spa access is restricted however this is totally understandable and the facilities are amazing. Overall the hotel, staff and facilities were outstanding. Breakfast was fabulous! Well worth the money.

We’ve been coming here for years, and if I’m honest, the place had lost its magic for a while. But this visit completely restored it. We stayed for my partner’s 45th birthday and everything from start to finish was exceptional. The staff absolutely made the stay. Night concierge, front desk, room service… every single person went above and beyond. It reminded me that it’s the people who make a hotel special, and they were outstanding throughout. We left feeling genuinely looked after and excited to return. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
