Grand, historic charm characterize the experience here. The hotel was built in 1893, so the building had its quirks, but these add to the distinctive atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Again the building is quite old, and our suite did not have a thermostat nor an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but it was comfortable nonetheless, as the ceiling fan and open windows did the trick.

The tile is bathroom was broken and up all around the tub and toilet. The sink was cracked, and it is historic, but could be kept nice, and not in ill repair.

Loved this historic grand old hotel that just exudes turn of the century charm and grandeur…not the 20th century, the 19th. It is like a snapshot of the history of the west with short walking distance to the historic Glenwood Springs Hot Springs and the Yumpah Vapor Caves. The main restaurant was also excellent. It was a favorite of Teddy Roosevelt, who visited often when the urge to shoot something with fur struck him. The best word I can think of to describe the Hotel Colorado is, authentic.

What a gorgeous property and room! We really enjoyed our stay here. Loved everything about this wonderful hotel except there is no air conditioning and Glenwood Springs gets very hot.

Would stay again

Stayed at this hotel for a girls trip. Great location to walk to food and shopping. Easy to walk to the Vapor caves and close enough to walk to both hot spring pools. The beds were comfy and the hotel is old and beautiful.
