What a fabulous property ! Old, charming, historic, magical. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Nice bar with tasty cocktails and delicious food. Lobby with plenty of seating, nice fireplaces. Rooms basic, clean. Walk across the street for a nice soak in the hot springs or walk across the bridge for shopping. Safe, walkable area. If you are wanting ultra modern this is not the place for you. Hotel Colorado has old character. Embrace it, enjoy the atmosphere. This is a great spot.

The Hotel was Great. Everything we expected from being here before. The ONLY knock I’d give is, after being here for 4 days and spending what we did, I asked for a slightly longer checkout on departure day as our train didn’t leave for another 2 hours. The standard answer is 1 hour extra, after that we charge for a late check out. It was NOT that busy and I know for a fact the room we had was not looked at during that time. I just wish that Manage would empower the staff to think and apply reasonable sense to customer service requests. Just not the way it’s done anymore?? I totally understand if the hotel was soooo booked and needed the space ASAP it would be the case.
