We really loved our stay here. The hotel foyer and rooms are beautiful and there are areas to play pool, read a book, swim and a pool slide for the kids. Easy walking distance to beach, shops and dining. Was disappointed we only had a view of a garden wall and not the beach view as seen on the website. But that was forgiven and the stay was great. I would stay here again.

The only good thing about the Greenmount is the fabulous beach views, but unfortunately this old dinosaur is badly in need of maintenance, as there is lots of construction going on the pool was thilthy and not looking very inviting, the car park is very limited ( tradies and hotel staff seem to get preference and when I complained I was told to go and park across the road at the surf life saving club) the lift is always stuck and the second day we were there was a big piece of ceiling plaster dropped in the reception foyer, there were no fly screens on our balcony so we couldn't get fresh air in case bugs got in, also you could hear all the traffic and noise from the street below and our bathroom sink was clogged. This place was once an iconic hotel in Coolangatta but now its just a disgrace.I will be sure to avoid this place in future and so should you if you want a nice place to stay

Highly recommend staying on the 10th floor with ocean view. Leave the balcony door slightly open and pull the curtains, then sink into the deeply relaxing sound of the ocean as you sleep.Easy access to the beach and very friendly and smart reception experience.I will stay here again.

Good value for money. Very comfortable king bed. Great sea view from our balcony. 11am check out time. We were able to get in at 1.30pm on check in. Friendly staff. Location, location , location. Walking distance to local shops, cafes & nice restaurants. $322 for 2 nights mid week is very affordable.

Unfortunately this property is to be bulldozed soon and because of that the pathways and walkways have not been maintained safely and evenly. Understandably the management haven't seen the need to spend money on something to be torn down.. The reason I say unsafe above, is because access in and out of the swimming pool is not appropriate for an aging population and those with disabilities .....my husband and I fit these descriptions. The last full day we were there we used the pool but my husband couldn't get out using the two step exit. Two gentlemen who were supervising their children, helped to pull him up and out but in so doing he caused cuts to his left shin. Another thing, I didnt like was that the air conditioner was aimed at the bed constantly rather than perhaps having the head of the bed under the air conditioner.
