I booked two nights at this property. Was shocked at the room - ground floor, dingy, dated, faced the busy road. You couldn’t tell you were beside the ocean. After taking a walk on the esplanade, my daughter and I returned to check out and find another location. Luckily able to find another last minute option for our stay. Individual at the desk seemed put off we were leaving. No refund offered. Also seems like property is also a long term stay/apartment. Back yard overlooked construction site and pool and area less than inviting. Subsequent email with property to outline my concerns and to request a refund was responded with saying there were other rooms available (not offered) and blamed construction and weather impacts (neither under their or my control). Note: I had already posted a review - went to look for it but seems to have been removed. If you do choose to book, recco you look at assigned room before paying/committing.

Spacious rooms. Clean, quiet, near a bakery, cafe, and Coles supermarket. A few minor issues: the toilet seat was the wrong size and wasn't fixed to the pedestal; TV had 'no signal ', with no instructions about how to fix this.

Friendly service. Allowed us to check in very early as we needed to empty car to drop family off at airport. Comfy bed. Only downfall was we tried to use spa but wasn’t able to start it. Value for price paid.

The property is alright for the price , the noice and dirty around the area. Was full of construction not there fault .building very old needs renovating. Cleaning needs to be better bathroom cupboards dirty not wiped out shower sill needed to be cleaned near window . The lady at reception was very helpful and friendly..customer service was great.

My first stay at The Outrigger. Check in and parking was easy. I was assigned a room on the ground floor overlooking the garden and pool area. It was very relaxing and walking distance to.shops, surf club and the beach. The room was very clean, comfortable bed. I would definitely stay again!

No milk or toilet paper provided. The coffee was old and stale. The sheets had not been changed and there was grass and dirt in the bed. The toilet seat was hanging off on one screw. The Manager was nice but seemed frustrated. The pool was nice though.

This property was perfectly fine. There was massive construction that was just beginning and would start at 7am. I went through my full booking with only one set of towels and I feel like this might have been a mistake but when you’re out all day, and the front desk closes at 5, it’s hard to ask for fresh linens and when you call the help line, you’re told this isn’t an emergency and to wait till they open at 10am (true). The hotel was older and so there were things about it that didn’t make sense or weren’t overly clean looking however the beds were comfy enough and clean. This definitely was not resort quality more so motel quality but I did enjoy my stay and it was close to the beach.

We loved this property! The room was really big, clean and nicely decorated. Very convenient to different dining options and nice and close to the beach and the surf club. Miami Rice, the chinese restaurant beside Outrigger had amazing food! We will definitely be returning.

NEVER AGAIN

NEVER AGAIN! It's advertised as a hotel on your website. On their own website it's advertised as a motel. It's actually a residential building flat with permanent people living in the apartments. There is a massive noisy construction site at the back of the hotel which your balcony overlooks. The lift was broken so my daughter and I had to drag two very heavy suitcases up to the second floor. A shocking place to stay. The only positive is the location but there are plenty other decent apartments in the area. For what we paid it was an absolute rip off! The room smelt like wet dog. I'm wanting a refund.
