We stayed at the Travelodge by Wyndham Golden Sportsman Lodge for a night with our kids and family, and it was an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight for the kids was definitely the swimming pool—so much fun for them to unwind after a day of travel. The free breakfast was also a great perk, offering a nice variety of options to start the day right. We loved the location too! There are plenty of great eating places nearby in Golden, so we had lots of choices for dining. Plus, the hotel is just a quick drive to Yoho National Park, making it super convenient for outdoor adventures. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. This is the perfect spot for families looking for comfort, convenience, and great amenities!

The staff was nice in check in and out, however, the rooms are very dated, beds are uncomfortable and the light switches/ other areas were not cleaned in sometime. Breakfast area is very tiny and limited space. The only “hot” food was the scrambled eggs. The hotel is more of a motel in that the rooms all have an outside door. To use the pool, one would need to exit their room and walk across the parking lot to the building with the pool. Inconvenient for families and cooler temperatures.

Rooms are clean. Outside area is a little run down, but for the price the amenities are quite adequate. Breakfast is ok : pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee... We did not use the pool so no comments.

Reasonable clean place

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The unit is dated but clean. They clean units everyday even once you check in, just leave the welcome on the door slide. Pool was in good condition and clean. Towels available at front desk. Breakfast was better than expected. Usual selection with make your own pancakes.

The crew that cleaned the rooms were very good, but getting them to understand come back in 10 minutes meant just that. We went out 3 separate times, on 4 separate days, only to come back with no service. We were able to get fresh towels from them as they came by with their linen wagons. Overall for the nightly rate, this place is a great deal. The front desk staff are very personal, attentive and detailed oriented. My wife and I will be coming back next year. We didn't get to all the local restaurants. Rasporados is sooo gooood if you like authentic Mexican.omg

The bath tub was not working, cant change the channels in the television, washroom is too small even for one people, the room was a little small but bearable, the bedsheets are clean, the breakfast is not bad but there’s a limited options (bread, egg, pancake, coffee)

Price was good, facilities were basic. Breakfast options were minimal. Room was never cleaned during our stay. Cleaning staff arrived during the late afternoon/evening when we were already back in the room. I’ve never stayed at a hotel/motel where the cleaning staff didn’t show up until after 3 pm.

The first night of a 3 night stay there was a loud droning sound all night, as if the workmen completing repairs in an adjacent room had left the fan on all night. After bringing this to managements attention this problem was resolved for the last 2 nights. The pool facilities were not clean. The sauna was not working properly for all 3 nights, the water slide was only operational the first night, the hot tub did not heating the last night.
