When we pulled in we were dismayed at the location of the hotel which sat behind the fire station amongst parking lots with no view. The room had a strong odor of bleach and Pine Sol. The one window looked out onto an ugly outdated bad smelling atrium with plastic palm trees. We stayed 30 minutes and booked elsewhere. On top of that the line to get into the park is at least hour to an hour and a half. We strongly recommend booking a hotel in the park. Don’t go here!!

Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel was old and wonderful. I was disappointed that the Hotels.com site did not include any information about fees for pets. When I arrived, they informed us of a charge for our dog. I asked why this information wasn't published. I was told that they had reached out to Hotel.com on several occasions to no avail.

Great stay!

Great hotel near the grand canyon, comfortable beds and spacious room. Staff were friendly. The rooms are all out-facing entrances ,there is an elevator.

Good option for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon. Only downside is outside cooridor for some rooms (after a locked door). And lack of vegan breakfast options (almond milk,etc.)but you could not top the friendliness of the staff.

Central to everything. Just outside the Grand Canyon south rim park entrance. I didn’t like that the stairways were locked which forced us to take the elevator every time we had to go in or out. Staff was awesome. The front desk, restaurant, gift shop and housekeeping staff were all great. The room was clean and comfortable. We got the suite with 2 queens and it was great. Would be perfect for a small family. Not sure if the sofa pulled out into a bed or not but my cousin slept on it. Sofa area is separate from the bedroom. With a door that closes.
