Thunderbird Lodge is a great place to stay in Grand Canyon Village. It sits between Bright Angel Lodge and the El Tovar Hotel so you're close to the restaurants at both places but have the peace of a place that doesn't have other guests walking through. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed and parking was easy when we visited in January. This place gets a thumbs up from us!

Room was a bit smaller than expected and bathroom was tiny. No “common” room in the lodge and we only spent time sleeping in the lodge. All eating and chilling out was done in surrounding lodges. I wish I had done better research and booked a better hotel/lodge.

The location can't be beat. Walk out the door steps from the Grand Canyon. Saw rams, goats and deer just outside room. Close to free transportation and the train.

It’s right next to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon so the view is indescribable. Parking was limited as we drove around a bit just to find a parking place and driving around there wss kind of a hassle. The lady at the desk offered us a partial canyon view room at no extra cost even though that’s not what we booked originally. Getting to and from our room was not easy but once there it was nice enough. The best part was being right next to the canyon.
