Check in was easy, the staff were very polite and efficient also very accomodating nothin was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, a bit outdated but it did not affect my options. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows. It had a bath with shower, complimentary toiletries etc, clean towels every day although I only stayed 2 nights. Dining room/bar area very nice and meals, drinks etc were reasonably priced. If I were to return to Grimsby I would definitely use this hotel again. It is a couple of minutes walk to the shopping centre and train station.

You get what you pay for

Disappointed with our stay expectations were not high given the price but reception staff were not very welcoming. Room was ok however next morning went to get a shower and unfortunately it wouldn’t work the mixer switch was broken hot water was scalding and couldn’t turn it down so couldn’t get washed in the bath either. Reported it to same receptionist and was told ok I’ll let the cleaners know and walked away disappointing

Needs redecoration

The room was quite tired and could do with redecoration. The carpet was stained and worn, the paint in the bathroom was peeling, and there was some black mould around the bath. However, the bed was very comfortable and clean, and I had a good nights sleep.

Our trip was very nice. It was easy to book in, staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. We struggled with the heat in our room, it was a warm day and the window did not open, nor was there air-con. However we did find a fan in the cupboard which worked to cool the room down. The facilities in the room were okay, and the bed we dtayed in was extremely comfy. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Reservamos el Hotel solo para pasar una noche, la habitación fue muy cómodo y funcional para lo que necesitábamos. El único inconveniente fue que cuando me fui a bañar no logre que saliera agua caliente y tuve que bañarme con agua fría. El resto sin problemas.

Dreadful

I would recommend to avoid this place at all costs as this isn’t a hotel by any standards. Bed is horrible and headrest hosts swarm of moths. I read other reviews saying that there are bedbugs but we cannot say anything about that as few minutes in the room, I used the complimentary WiFi to book another hotel ( Yarborough hotel), and simply left there. I asked for a refund but got denied. I apologize for saying this (as people working there are all lovely) but this is a proper dump and shouldn’t be hosted by hotels.com. Also, toilet didn’t flush.
