The hotel and grounds are lovely and the staff was very courteous. Our room was a bit small but it had everything we needed and frankly we weren't there to be in the room. The location is very central to the pedestrian area and easy pick up for Uber when we ventured further afield. The street it's on is not the prettiest but the surrounding area was fine. Breakfast (included in our stay) was excellent and we appreciated that it was offered until 11am since we're not early risers. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 9 nights at La Villa del Ensueno, against all odds we were pleasantly surprised with this charming hotel which is walking distance to Tlaquepaque. Yes, this Hotel shows its age but it's still well looked after. + location is key, it is walking distance to Tlaquepaque + spacious, comfortable rooms with lots of mexican flair. we had a junior suite which had its own private sun deck which was awesome to relax in the sun + breakfast was inclusive which was cooked fresh to order and came with fresh juice, coffee, yoghurt & fruits and one could order from an extensive breakfast menu. Both server were super friendly, attentive and very accommodating. + the hotel is beautiful, its colourful, lots of plants and very quiet. Its a peaceful oasis away from sometimes loud Mexico +housekeeping did an awesome job on a daily basis cleaning the room +other reviews mentioned bugs, in all of our 9 nights stay we did not seen one single bug inside the room +rooms had AC, good size fridge and safety locker and TV this is now where i usually list the negative aspects of a hotel, but too be honest, i couldn't really find any. Yes, sure the pool was cool & shady and the jacuzzi was rather cold is well but it is January !!! if I wanted to spend excess amount of time at a pool i go to Puerta Vallarta. in summary, we had a very lovely stay at the Villa del Ensueno and would defiantly stay there again if our traveling would bring us back to Guadalajara. thanks to every one working at t

We really loved our stay at this property. It's enchanting with the vivid colors and greenery. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Jardin Hidalgo, and the artist district/walking streets with a lot of shopping and restaurants. There is noise easily heard from other guests in the hallways, but for us, that was no issue. The bartender made the absolute BEST margaritas! I highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast. I didn’t realize hotel was divided into two parts. I was unhappy that they split my family. I reserved two rooms. One room was on the side where lobby is. The other room was across the street. I asked to put us together on one side and they could not accommodate us.

This place was gorgeous an Hacienda taken out of a Mexican novel. The surroundings had so much culture and art. The premises were clean, the staff were friendly- extremely kind and attentive to our needs. Our bedroom was comfortable and perfect for a couple. The location was centric. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
