This place is closed since march 2019 due to pandemic however they are doing bookings and taking people's money. Don't bother with this. I complained and ask for refund that was denied.

Fijn dat het personeel - als ze je verstonden, dat was het merendeel - heel soepel en meedenkend was. Ligt direct aan zee, mijn kamer met balkon had prachtig uitzicht naar zee, zwembad en terassen. En tuinen, zwembad en prive srrand prima onderhouden. Je kon binnen 2 min naar Playa Guayacanes lopen - heerlijke verse vis eten- en in 10 minuten naar het dorpje zelf met gezellige supermarktjes + terrasjes. Flip van Keulen uit Leiden

Good place to stay with the family for a weekend

The crevice was good.The decoration is beautiful and the beach and the pool are great,but I think the entrance to the hotel needs to be fixed, the refrigerators need to hibernate conectes to the electric outlet. Also the bar and the kitchen area should have better equipment .in addition as this is a family place they should have a kids pool and other amenities for kids. The fans of the room I was needs to be fixed

Pleasant!

Was a pleasant experience. Good for everyone. Wilke was very helpful. He went out of his way to TRY and make my experience worth while. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean resort. My room was on the second floor(222) overlooking the pool and the beach. Great view. Room was good. Air conditioning takes time to get going. I like it frosty. Bed was adequate, thin mattress. Linens were clean, not stained, and no loose hairs. Wifi was great in the room but weakened at the beach. slow but working. The bathroom was good. The shower is undersized. I am 6'4" 224lbs. Width was good but the clearance was not. Watch your head, keep your arms bent. In-room safe costs extra. You need to ask the desk for a key. Costs a few dollars a day. Not sure about the amount or laptop compatibility. Room had a mini fridge with water. I suggest getting some beer for late hours as the bars close at 10pm depending on the amount of people still drinking. Food is buffet style 3 times a day. The food was not great at first but got better. The short short ribs were great. They were really short. 2 bars and a a la carte restaurant on the premises was good. People from outside use the beach and restaurant making parking in the 5 space lot non-existant. Parking extends up the driveway to the secondary street. People walking thru from public beach adjacent to the resort. Public beach has a restaurant... DO NOT EAT THERE! RIP OFF! More like shanties people cook local fare, serve beer/soda. BE CAREFUL!

Scary looking place and surroundings

We arrived at this hotel and decided not to stay. The neighborhood we drove through before getting there looked questionable. Upon arrival, the property did not look inviting and given the neighborhood and late hour of arrival, we decided we didn't feel comfortable staying. We found another place about 20 minutes away which was much more inviting and secure.

Dejligt lille hotel med masser af plads på stranden og masser af sol senge, så mange at der ikke var nogen der reserverede solsengé om natten Maden var ikke noget særligt kunne sagtens have været bedre uden det ville koste ekstra for hotel ejeren. Et godt råd til hotel ledelsen er , bedre mad !!!! Vil helt klart anbefale dette hotel istedet for et kæmpe stort all incl hotel med alt for få sol senge m.m

Vi havde et dejligt 2-dages ophold på Playa Esmeralda Resort. Hotellet har egen, privat strand som er smuk og perfekt til et par dages afslapning. Der er dog ikke meget andet at tage sig til end at ligge på stranden, så på trods af et dejligt ophold er vi glade for, at vi ikke havde booket mere end 2 dage. Værelserne er ok til prisen. Der er, hvad man har brug for. Vi var heldige at få et værelse med en skøn udsigt. Maden er begrænset. Du kommer ikke til at gå sulten i seng, men det er samme mad der serveres hver dag. Personalet søde og hjælpsomme bed spørgsmål.

Pagué dos hoteles, para hospedarme solo en uno.

Fue una lástima. Quería hacer dos recervaciones para mí (una sola persona) con distintas fechas y los hice con la misma fecha por equivocación. Me hubiese gustado que el hotel.com se diera cuenta que se estaba haciendo una reservación con la misma persona y la misma fecha para confirmar... No puedo estar en dos hoteles una misma vez... Siento un poco de culpa por no darme cuenta antes y a la vez que por internet no hay servicio seguro. Llamé a Esmeralda Hotel para ver qué se hacía, pero me respondieron que no tenían responsabilidad sobre las reservaciones hechas através de Hotel.com Honestamente me da un poco de miedo volver a reservar por esa vía y por esa compañía.
