About Fort Morgan
Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, The Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

The house was perfectly close to the beach with a sofa view of the waves rolling in. We enjoyed the large deck with the tall wooden chairs to take in our excellent view of the gulf. Morning coffee was breathtaking! Kitchen equipped with all your needs even a large freezer to store your chartered catches. We were close to restaurants that we really enjoyed eating at and the servings were large enough for take home. One of the recliners needs cleaning or replaced and would have preferred a king bed instead of the queen in the master bedroom Those 2 items kept me from rating a 5.

There were wooden planks from the house to the small decline to the beach. The first wooden plank at the porch was broken up, so be careful to not get a splinter.

Amazing!!!

The house was beautiful, had everything you needed location was great wasn't crowded that's what we like about the area. Only bad thing was the refrigerator was 60 degrees we had to unplug the fridge and plug it back in to get it running that was the only downfall. We had a great time can't wait to come back.

Great location, but needs some TLC!

We loved the location, the view and big open windows to help enjoy it, and the communication from Harris was great! The decor for the most part (bedrooms and living/dining room) did made it charming and serene for us! Good amount of towels as well! We were also left with washing soap for the dishes and dishwasher. Also three regular trash bags in total. Wish I would have known two extra were in the bottom of the trash can, but I should have looked. We loved the high chairs on the back porch under the covered area as well - made it a great spot to enjoy the beautiful beach and take it all in! The reason, though, for my rating is the overall condition of the house. This house, which I know at one time had to be absolutely charming, needs some TLC in a drastic way. I know the weather, guests, etc are hard on a beach house, but management or whomever needs to really look at this property. The back door doorknob is barely screwed on and multiple pieces of trim and siding need fixing. The smell inside of the house was very musty and old and probably even more so due to the allowing of pets just not pleasant. We bought some freshies to go around the house during our stay which helped somewhat but was still quite overpowered. Just Some sort of cords were hanging all over the living room window panels and was hanging down in multiple spots. Blinds in the bathroom windows would fall of and we would have to be fixed. There’s also a big black rat living under the house. TLC is needed

PERFECTION IN PARADISE!

Salty Charm is absolutely anything and everything you could want in a beautiful beach getaway! From the moment you drive up to the quiet, well maintained beachfront property, to opening the front door to this immaculately clean, oceanfront home, you are most definitely on vacation! Our precious golden doodle was also welcomed here and every morning he loved lying on the partially covered balcony listening to the ocean as we finished up breakfast in the wonderfully complete, organized, well stocked kitchen! Literally steps away is your own beautiful beach just waiting for you to relax and enjoy virtually no crowds! Note that we were there over Memorial Weekend!! Working with Harris Properties was so easy and they were all so professional and kind! Thank You for your wonderful homes!

Great Beachfront Location

The house is directly on the beach and spacious. Great deck for ocean gazing. Quiet and peaceful. We had an issue with the electrical and air conditioning the first night/day which was almost immediately addressed by the property manager. They were very responsive and remedied the issue.

Good place.

Had issue with things being broken. Rear door handle was hanging off. Screws were stripped. Eventually we got locked out and someone had to be on inside and outside at same time to get it open. Carpet in living room was full of sand. We eventually just loved it. The tile in kitchen was broken and after my daughter cut her foot on it we had just had enough and left two days early. Its clearly a house that wasn’t in the best shape and some paint and warped laminate were done to cover that up. It’s a nice enough beach house but for the super high price I expected a whole lot more.

Dream on the beach

You could not ask for a better house right on the beach. It is very cozy and welcoming. Obviously the salt water and sand has wore on it a little but we think that added to the experience! Great stay, would certainly go back.

Beautiful Beach Location

We had an great stay at this amazing beach property! Our teenagers and fur babies loved being so close to the water. The home had everything we needed, and the property managers were great and made sure we signed up for beach alerts and that we were prepared for the tornado warning! Overall a great stay, and we’ll definitely be back!

Butterfly's & Blue Angels

We had a wonderful time! Watching dolphins,shrimp boats and walking on the beach every day. It was a bonus with the migrating butterfly's everywhere and the Blue Angels practicing for the air show. This house was perfect for a much needed beach vacation.

Love Ft. Morgan and loved this house. Right on the beach so we could walk easily back and forth. Easy cleaning and check out instructions. Was roomy enough for our adult daughters and their husbands, my husband and myself. It was a fantastic week.

Charming doesn't even begin to describe "Salty Charm". Our experience was filled with intrigue & delight day and night. The house itself was loaded with everything anyone could possibly want! Your furbies are welcome 🐾. The view is amazing. The beach is as close as stepping off the deck. We were charmed from the moment we arrived til the last picture taken at the backdoor when leaving. Our visit was exceptional! We will most definitely rent from Harris Properties again! Their staff are attentive, friendly, personable and knowledgeable 🧡.

Great GetAway

Hi, My husband and I stayed at this property for 6 days in August 2020. We enjoyed the location Fort Morgan being separate from Gulf Shores and hustle and bustle. The property is beach front with a great and unobstructed view. The house had all the amenities we were looking for. A concrete slab foundation as well as a direct walk way to the beach to preserve the dunes would have been appreciated. The onsite propane bbq pit is falling apart so we had to buy a new small bbq. Loved the big chairs on the patio. The outside could use a good clean up as we found bottle caps, small trash items and cigarette butts. Everything worked as expected, no problem at all.
