This is a great resort hotel. We enjoyed golf one day, loved the onset 3 days(!) and the food, both the Japanese restaurant and morning buffets, were great. A wave goodbye to our departing bus from your hotel staff was a great touch. Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing place by the lake with excellent views. Room was a good size with a sofa and a balcony overlooking the lake. Very peaceful, near the two gondolas and Hakone Shrine.

Attention to detail matters

The Prince went out of their way to make our stay absolutely perfect. My husband and I were extremely satisfied with everything. Our BBQ dinner (which you need reservations for) was our highlight for sure. We had the whole place to ourselves. Great food, incredible service and an incredible view. Again, we loved everything.

We had a lakeside room in one of the towers and it was great. The views from the balcony were amazing and we were lucky enough to even get a glimpse of Mnt Fuji on a clear day, along with some of the local flying squirels! The buffet food at the grill restaurant was great and the Onsen was a great experiance too! A great property we would highly recommend if you want a relaxing few days away from the hussle and bussle of the cities!

Beautiful stay by Ashinoko lake

We stayed for one night in this hotel. Overall we had a great stay. The hotel is located in a very beautiful remote spot, just by the lake. We had a family room with lake view. The room was very spacious and spotless clean, however the furniture and decor were slightly outdated. We enjoyed the hotel amenities especially its beautiful onsen. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only drawback was that everything was closed at 18:30 when we arrived, so we had to have dinner at the hotel, and had to finish within half an hour the extremely overpriced buffet dinner as they closed at 19:00.

I will start with my critic feedback first: the bathroom was like airplane bathroom. The entire room is so good, it has everything what you need , Including the clothes to go to Olsen, but the bathroom is very dated, small and crampy. Staff is 5/5. They want to make sure you are happy and comfortable - their hospitality is a role model for others. Location - the best! Walkable from Tori gate View - the best! Of the lake Ashiniko There are 3 hotels nearby , including a buffet place, where chef would come to you to explain the food for non jap customers, amazing. Overall , I think it’s a great hotel if you are not too bothered about bathroom.

The hotel is beautiful, so welcoming and with a calm ambience. The staff are exemplary, doing all they can to make your stay perfect. We ate at the Grill buffet bar and all food was well displayed and delicious.
