Front desk staff dont know their hotel and were oblivious to problems and how to solve. Could not properly direct to parking which turned out to be 3 blocks away. Terrible for anyone with mobility challenges

Disappointed in Halifax!

Tempo restaurant want open when we arrived on the Sunday. The rooms are very dated. Sink in the bathroom was clogged and took a long time to drain. AC needs an upgrade. TV still using cable and we weren’t able to access any digital platforms. Parking is expensive.

Major Reno's Needed!

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel! While the lobby appears renovated, the rooms look dated back to the 70's! The carpet in the rooms is beyond disgusting & dirty, the beds are old, mattress lumpy, pillows lumpy, & a noisy AC which doesn't get cool down the room properly. The bathrooms are awful too - no towel rack to hang your wet towels, yet they do not provide cleaning services unless you say 5 days! No shower bar for those with mobility issues & the cheapest, thinnest toilet paper I have ever seen! I will never stay here again, considering the cost is on par with many better hotels!

It’s a good option for a few nights. The hotel can use an overall facelift. It looked a bit old. The breakfast “available” is a cafe/resto attached to the hotel and is quite expensive. Parking was far and expensive. Staff was friendly.

I booked a room via expedia before starting a 4 hour drive, to arrive late and catch a couple hours sleep before an early morning flight, with my wife and daughter. Upon arriving at 1:30 am, the front desk staff told me that someone had called me and spoken to me and I had agreed to cancel our booking. There wasn't even a missed call on my phone. The night manager tried to find alternate accommodation for over an hour, while I also called over 20 other hotels in and around Halifax, with no luck in finding another room. My family sat in the car outside the main entrance with Halifax nightlife wandering the streets around them. Only after about 1.5 hours of me standing in the lobby was another room that was "out of service" mentioned. It was a room with a leaking air conditioning unit, but it had 2 beds. I agreed to take it and it took another 30 minutes to finally get access to the room. We caught maybe 1.5 hours of sleep before having to depart for the airport. The charges were refunded, but I don't feel that enough compensation for what we had to endure, wondering if my family was going to have to sleep in a car for almost 2 hours before finding out we had an undesirable option, but an option nonetheless.
