We had an excellent experience at the Holiday Inn Express Hangzhou East Station by IHG. The location couldn’t be more convenient, it’s just a short walk from Hangzhou East Station, which made arriving, departing, and getting around the city incredibly easy. Despite being so close to a major transport hub, the hotel felt calm, safe, and well‑designed for travellers. The breakfast was another highlight. There was a wide variety of options each morning, from Chinese dishes to Western favourites, fresh fruit, pastries, and hot items. Everything was well‑stocked and tasted great, making it a perfect start to the day. Our room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly spacious. The layout was thoughtful, the bed was comfortable, and the overall cleanliness exceeded expectations. It felt like a true retreat after long days of exploring Hangzhou. Overall, this hotel delivers fantastic value, comfort, and convenience. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou.

Great hotel with great location for public transportation, 3 minutes of walking from subway station which leads to both West Lake or Airport. Only minor complaint is the cigarette smell in the non smoking room. This is the same experience like many other hotel in China. There are just too many smokers in China and they don’t always follow the hotel rules.

Took a private hire car from the airport to get there (130 RMB), as it isnt close to the Metro but once we were there, everything we needed was nearby. Hangzhou East train station is about 1 mins walk away, and there are numerous eating places next to the hotel, along with a 7-11 ao you wint go hungry. Breakfast had a lot of choices. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I didn't expect to have such a comfortable room/stay. However, I was very surprised to be waken up at 6 am by honking cars after spending a few days in Shanghai where this practice has apparently been outlawed. A better noise-proofing would be nice.

The hotel is still new, about a year old. The front desk gentlemen and ladies are polite and freindly. The hotel is not really in walking distance to East Railway Station, especially if you have luggages. And the Taxi could not drop off or pick you up from the front door of the hotel. You need to walk to the nearest intersection to get a taxi. And if you are a foreigner and don't have Taxi App on your phone, it's better to ask the front desk to help you which they are helpful. The area is still developing, so there're a lot of construction sites around it. Hopefully it will improve in a couple of years.
