My favorite hotel in Vietnam. Location in Hanoi's old quarter is perfect for walking around and seeing the sights - it's only 5 minutes away from the lake with the temple and maybe 15 or so from the Hanoi beer street. Tons of shops in the area too. Rooms are clean, quiet and thoughtfully appointed. The staff are incredibly helpful and will bend over backwards for you also - Lily from the front desk gave me a thorough overview of the tour options for ha long bay and recommended one that was less crowded and more chill than the others, which was exactly what I was after.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel du Lac. The location is excellent, right near the Ho Huan Kiem lake and Old Town attractions. The hotel inside is really nice, the breakfast is great and the service is genuinely good without being too smarmy or angling for tips. Modern but charactered inside. Sky bar on the top floor is also a real plus. Highly recommended

This place is excellent. We have stayed in many places but this one is excellent. All staff members are very courteous and always willing to assist as needed. Alice at breakfast was very attentive and remembered my choices from the day before! Louis at the front desk at reception gave us a very heartfelt send off. Took my family to Hanoi for the first time. Decor, design, and location of this hotel is amazing. Breakfast was good. I ate many hotel pho for breakfast while I was traveling in Vietnam. This is one of my favorite pho for breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Lac in Hanoi and would happily give it 5/5 across the board. The hotel is in a great part of town—easy to explore, lively, and well located for food, cafes, and walking around. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. We also used the spa services and were really impressed—the treatments were excellent and the value was fantastic compared to what you’d pay elsewhere. Clean, comfortable, great service, and a relaxing place to come back to after busy days in Hanoi. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

L'Hotel du Lac was a real gem of a hotel in the old town Hanoi. Very close to super good restaurants and other attractions. The staff, tha includes every single soul that works at the hotel was super friendly and made sure you were comfortabke and happy. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. Now to the breakfast, this was he other highlight besides the room, a' la carte' and buffet included in the room, fantastic. Highly recommended!!

Refilled the fruit plate inside the room. Bump gun hose can be more flexible. Loved the water pressure, rain shower is awesome. Bed was comfortable, pillows are very fluffy. Would stay here again.

We had a fabulous stay at L’hotel du lac. The location was perfect. For being in the middle of where you want to be, our room was shockingly quiet. The room is not huge but it was very comfortable, everything we needed! I would definitely stay there again and I will be recommend any friends visiting stay there too. Staff is lovely as well!

Great stay, clean rooms and all of the staff are super friendly. The hotel is a small boutique hotel that has almost everything you need within walking distance. The only downside is that the restaurant is in the basement and there isn't really amenities. Would highly recommend this place.
