What a nice and helpful staff. Big thanks to Lucy who made sure we had such a good time during our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the old quarter and close to everything you need as a tourist: to see and experience the city. The hotel was not in the best condition but the hygiene was top notch, clinically clean.

We only stayed the one night as a transition to Ha Long Bay. Shower was a good size, however there was a small worm(leech?) in the bathroom sink in the morning that we suspect came up from the drain. Booked 1 night here as I needed to be Hanoi for an early trip to Sapa. Air con was best bit. Booked a room with a city view but was told only family rooms have city view. Rooms were very dated and felt dirty although I knew it had been cleaned. I did get moved in the end . If I was booked for more than 1 night I would have moved and I would not stay here when we get back to Hanoi.

The lodgings were serviceable and it’s clear the photos were taken quite awhile ago. The room was basic. The bathroom had some signs of worn grout and mold. And as travelers new to Vietnam, we learned the hard way that “paper towels” means “toilet paper”. But the price was adequate for what it was. I don’t think we will stay here again, even if the location was convenient for exploring the Old Quarter and eating at Michelin-rated affordable restaurants like Pho Nguyet just up the street.

The price is cheap and reasonable. The hotel is at a very convenient location to reach the key spots in walking distance. The room cleanliness is fair; the furniture and the overall setting looks old with the wardrobe handling broken. Yet so far no dirt or third-party hair observed. Much better if the bedding and comforter are renewed. There is room service for basic cleaning in the middle of our stay. The staff are kind and helpful.
