Stunning Views but has its issues

The Good:Amazing view, breathtaking! Comfortable beds with clean linens!Convenient location close to town!Central AC and decent WiFi The Bad:Really needs a deep cleaning, and better cleaning between guests. There were a lot of cobwebs, some dust and what looked like spilled spices on top of the microwave.Needs out door pest control, several wasp nests and tons of spiders. Not very well equipped kitchen. Very dated furniture.Electric grill not gas or coal. The Ugly:Broken furniture, the chairs at the kitchen counter are unusable because the wicker lattice is broken. Some screens have tears and windows are stuck closed. The pans are all teflon and are so badly scratched that the teflon is pealing off and hence are unusable. There was only 1 usable pot. The kitchen knives are so dull that I wasn’t able to slice a tomato. The dishes and silverware wasn’t very clean. Overall we had a nice time. The view compensated for some of the issues mentioned above. We spent 85% of our time in the porch, and the hammock is a nice touch. The cabin feels neglected. It needs some love, it’s very dated and tired, but has so much potential. One more thing to keep in mind, though paved, the drive up is Very Steep and if the road is wet or snowy you will 100% need a 4x4.

Gorgeous views, musty cabin

The views of this cabin were stunning. Brasstown Bald right across from the great covered porch. The cabin was dark and had a heavy musty odor and damp feeling. The kitchen appliances, big and small, work fine but are extremely outdated and all of the teflon coated cookware was very scratched up and is in need of replacing. We spent most of our time on the deck, when we were there, and only went indoors to cook or sleep. Back deck did have a handy electric grill, as well.

The cabin was cute with an amazing view. We really enjoyed rocking on the porch while looking out at the mountains. As noted in other reviews, there was a bit of a musty smell. Overall it was a nice stay and we would stay again.
